Born as a "Country boy" in the Southern field of Puerto Varas, Lake District Chile; I was born surrounded by the great Andes mountain range, volcanoes, evergreen forest, lakes, rivers, farmers and "Baqueanos or Gauchos", who gave me their knowledge and wisdom about our root and why we have to respect and love. I've been working in Travel Companies & Lodges for more than 30 years; from the mystic Atacama Desert in Northern Chile, to the desolate South Patagonia in Torres del Paine and Tierra del Fuego. Overview of your Puerto Montt tour
We depart from your hotel in Puerto Varas or Puerto Montt, driving toward Alerce Andino National Park (39, 255 hectares). This national park was declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 2007. This National park is also part of the Route of Parks of Patagonia. Our excursion takes us through the Pacific Coast Reloncaví Sound by the Southern Road. We pass by quaint fishing villages. The Calbuco Volcano and all the beautiful Andean-Patagonian mountain range are alongside us in this stunning journey! The beautiful native forest wows us with its intense green, where we can see and identify species of local flora and fauna. After half an hour we arrive at a beautiful waterfall. As we continue, we can see or hear birds such as the black woodpecker, the Huemul Huemul, the Kingfisher, the Chucao, and the Cara-Cara. We reach a 3, 000-yr. -old redwood, and then we continue to Lagoons Chaiquenes and Triangle. Time to relax, take photos and eat our box lunch. Back to the hotel or pier.

-I will pick you up at the meeting point according to your information provided. -We will drive to Puerto Montt city to take the Austral highway. -We will drive around to Reloncaví Fjord to arrive at the National Park Alerce Andino. -Arrive at Alerce National Park, Lenca sector. -Hike into the Rainforest bordering the Chaica River. Photos and enjoy the rainforest around. -Arrive at Chaica Waterfalls. Photo stop. -Arrive at Chaiquenes lagoon. Photo stop. -After 1.5 hours, we arrive at the goal Triangle lagoon. Rest, lunch box, and photos. -Back for the same route. -We return for the "Austral highway" route surrounded by fields, farmer villages, and fishing villages in front of the Pacific. Back to the Pier, Airport or your Hotel in Puerto Montt or Puerto Varas. *Hiking distance Long version: 12 Miles/16 Km. approx. to Chaiquenes - Triangulo laggon(Level: Moderate-Hard). **Hiking distance Short version: 6 Miles/9 Km. approx. to Waterfalls and 3000 years old Redwood Alerce tree(Level: Easy-Moderate).
