Puerto Montt, Petrohue Falls, Emerald Lake & Puerto Varas

We had an outstanding day exploring Petrohué Falls, Lago Todos los Santos, Frutillar, and Puerto Varas with Claudio. From the moment he picked us up, we felt comfortable and well cared for. He is friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and shared fascinating insights about the history, culture, and natural beauty of southern Chile. Claudio went above and beyond to make the day special. He found us the most delicious salmon for lunch and even arranged a wonderful boat tour on Lago Todos los Santos, which became one of the highlights of our trip. The day was perfectly paced, and we could not have asked for a better guide. We highly recommend Claudio and would gladly tour with him again!

One of the advantages of a private excursion with tours by locals is when your ship is five hours late, the guide can rearranged the tour to fit the highlights into the shorten time available. Claudio did an excellent job of getting us to the things we most wanted to see. He got us ahead of the mob leaving the cruise ship so we could enjoy the Petrohue Falls and Emerald Lake without crowds. We later drove by the parking lot for the falls, it was overloaded with buses. We also enjoyed walking around the town of Puerto Varas. He made the day informative and fun. I highly recommend him.

We had a great day with Claudio. We saw a lot and learned a lot. His is English is excellent. He paid attention to our interests. We went to a local market where he shops, no other tourists, where we bought spices. We were lucky to have a sunny clear day and saw the volcano and waterfalls. He is very interesting to talk to. He gave us plenty of time at each stop to enjoy and not feel rushed. Went to a lunch where we could try some local dishes. Excellent guide!
