Registered guide at SERNATUR (National Tourism Service of Chile). Degree in Environmental Analysis with a focus on environmental journalism since 1997. InterestsBirdwatching enthusiast, certified by the Ornithological Association of the Plata (1999). Completed courses on Animal Behavior and studied Italian at Dante Alighieri, San Miguel de Tucumán (2016). Volunteer ExperienceVolunteered at the GUIRA OGA Bird Sanctuary in Misiones and at Loitokitok School in Kenya. Guiding Experience: I’ve guided in renowned parks such as Torres del Paine and Vicente Pérez Rosales, among many other spectacular destinations. Memorable Adventures: I’ve had the privilege of summiting Mount Kilimanjaro and Toubkal, trekking the High Inca Trail in Peru, exploring the Atlas Mountains in Morocco, and my favorite, the W Trek in Torres del Paine. I’ve also participated in two-week horse riding expeditions between Chile and Argentina. Being this tour the only capable of avoid getting in a vehicle for long kms. Puerto Montt nature has a lot to hide. . . and we will discover it today! From traditional type of farming, to organic orchards from here the locals cross by boat to sell their product at the Angelmo Market. The traditional Curanto stew! Too! Enjoy a unique incite into the rural and traditional life of Puerto Montt; step-back-in-time whilst walking on Tenglo Island and enjoy the sights and smells of the historical fish and veggie market of Angelmo in Puerto Montt city. We will catch the boat back and visit the Angelmo market, one of the most famous markets in Chile and then drive back to Puerto Varas and or your hotel.
Your Puerto Montt tour itinerary
•After we have met and greet each other we will walk to the pier from where we will take a 10 minutes public boat trip across the Tenglo Canal (balseo) to the pier of Tenglo Island (which means, "a quiet and calm place" in Spanish). •We will spend 2. 30 hours walking on natural trails and on the beach where there are no cars, just a few horses and local working oxen, some locals and plenty of views from the Andean Range and Puerto Montt city. •This tranquil and laid-back location offers spectacular views of the volcanoes, the Reloncavi fjord, the open sea and the historic way of life; working the land and sea. •Catch the boat back and visit the Angelmo fish and food market, one of the most famous markets in Chile to finally have some food tasting on local delicacies. •Walk back to the pier. The itinerary can be customized according to your preferences
