Those markets exist daily in different areas of the city from 8 am to 1:30 pm. According with the day you choose for the tour I'll see the more attractive to cover your interests and show you the most of Brazilian culinary. Farmers markets are set up by the vendors on or along city side streets, a long line of individual stalls and offer a stunning variety of exotic tropical fruits and vegetables. Will be a great experience to have the flavor and juiciness of the fruit market strawberries, melons, cashew fruit, passion fruits. . . . and mangoes are simply amazing. It's like eating candy. Mostly of the markets offers also cooked salgados (salty snacks) such as Pasteis, fresh squizzed sugar cane juice and tapioca, fresh coconut water, or fresh coconut peaces to eat. We had a very pleasant morning with Neyla. We visited a morning market and smelled and tasted various fruits and other treats. She then took us to an old pagoda with an amazing view. We ended the morning with a view of Ipanema beach. It was a very fun morning Neyla was a great story teller and a fantastic host. We both had a a great morning and we can recommend Neyla most highly!
Neyla took us to a vibrant market where we sampled many types of fruits, many new to us. Many of the vendors recognized Neyla and invited us to view their products. It was fun and educational. Thanks to Neyla for an incredible morning at the market.
Neyla was great from the beginning - the weather didn't help us as it was raining hard but she adapted the tour so I could see and do everything I wanted. She even brought her husband along as our driver so we could just hop in and out if the car. She was very friendly and knowledgeable and I really enjoyed my time with her and would recommend her for your tour in Rio.
