The first stop of the day is a short visit to Konjic, a unique, prehistorically inhabited place from which Herzegovina originates. It is famous for its 17th century 6-arch Old Bridge and a perfect introduction to the emerald-green Neretva river.

Beautiful medieval and Ottoman stone-constructed fortified village Počitelj. On your arrival, take an easy hike towards the Kula, a silo-shaped fort overlooking the village from the top of the hill.

Dervish monastery in Blagaj is great way to learn about Islam in Bosnia and Herzegovina and have a break from the long journey.

Last but not least Mostar and the famous bridge under UNESCO protection will definitely leave you speechless!

This area of Bosnia and Herzegovina is not very tourist, but it has amazing potential. Bobovac, as a historic capital of medieval Bosnia is by itself a very interesting place. This is a fortress place where the Kings lived. We will visit the ruins of the Old City which is abandoned for 5 centuries. Also, we can see how the people live in villages close to it nowadays and try something of the rich and delicious local cuisine.

Kraljeva Sutjeska is also a notable historical place with a rich cultural heritage. We will visit a Franciscan monastery built in the 14th century, and also the small mosque of Mehmed Fatih, one of the first mosques in Bosnia, made just after the conquest of the Ottoman Empire.

At the end of the tour, we can see the small industrial city of Vareš and if the weather allows us, we can take a swim in the Nula Lake.

Even though I wasn't technically born until the second part of the siege (1994), my family members were part of this war and the very interesting thing is that my uncle was the guy who gave the initial idea for the tunnel to be built since he was one of the advisors to the president himself at the time and he had a background in civil engineering. We will be talking about the aftermath of the war as well since my father never left the army, and stayed there until 2005 and I will share all of the internal struggles that people had to put up with that you can't find on Google.

The siege of Sarajevo was one of the longest sieges in the history of modern warfare. The Capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina was under siege by the army of Republica Srpska from April 5th 1992 to February 29th 1996, during the Bosnian war.

The siege was a year longer then the siege of Leningrad in WW2. During this tragic period, 11000 civilians were killed or went missing and about 1500 children were killed.

On the tour, you will visit the most important places from this period and hear the real stories and first-hand testimonies about the dangers of everyday life and survival in a besieged city.
