Sarajevo Food Tour

I had a fantastic time with Danijela in Sarajevo this past January. The tour was centered around local food, which was excellent, but what really made the experience stand out was how much knowledge she shared along the way — not just about the cuisine, but also the city’s history, culture, and everyday life. I mentioned from the start that I wasn’t looking for anything touristy. I wanted to experience the real Sarajevo through a local lens, and Danijela absolutely delivered. She took me to authentic spots I never would have found on my own and gave me a much deeper appreciation for this fascinating city. If you’re looking for a guide who is knowledgeable, personable, and truly understands how to tailor an experience to what you want, I would highly recommend Danijela.

Danijela was terrific! She has broad knowledge of the history of the region and she explained it in an understandable way. She shared personal experiences of the war that really added context and color. The logistics were all good— pickup, car, etc. She went above and beyond to make recommendations of sites, restaurants, etc. before and after the tour. Outstanding!

Danijela is the friendliest, warmest, most professional guide imaginable. Although this is a food tour, at the same time Danijela gave an excellent commentary on history and culture as we made numerous stops throughout the old city area, especially to the eateries known best to locals. Enjoying cuisine with her is like relaxing with a dear friend in a cafe. From the moment that we booked her tour, the communication was excellent. Be sure to bring a big appetite because the food portions are generous!

Danijela was a fabulous guide for our time in Sarajevo. We took her "Sarajevo Food Tour" upon arriving and not only was the food excellent, but it was a great orientation for our stay. She was very kind, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable about local food and history. Highly recommend this or any of her other tours!!!
