Discover War Times Experience in Sarajevo with your local guide

Dive deep into the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina as you explore Sarajevo on this war-focused history tour. I would love to guide you through and help you discover the key landmarks of the capital city including the Tunnel of Hope, the enemy sniper and artillery positions, and the Yellow Fortress. I will provide information about the Siege of Sarajevo, the longest siege in modern history, from my own personal point of view. Even though I wasn't technically born until the second part of the siege (1994), my family members were part of this war and the very interesting thing is that my uncle was the guy who gave the initial idea for the tunnel to be built since he was one of the advisors to the president himself at the time and he had a background in civil engineering. We will be talking about the aftermath of the war as well since my father never left the army, and stayed there until 2005 and I will share all of the internal struggles that people had to put up with that you can't find on Google.

During this tour, We will see: -Pass By Sniper Alley: We are going to pass through Sniper Alley - the most dangerous street in Sarajevo where snipers were shooting every day. You are going to see many buildings from the Yugoslav period still affected by the war. -Stop at Tunnel of Hope: Short educational tour and presentation about the Bosnian War, and the creation of the Tunnel of Hope. Duration: 2 hours -Stop at Trebević Vidikovac: We will take you to the point on Trebević Mountain where you will have the most beautiful panoramic view of Sarajevo and witness first-hand sniper positions. Duration: 20 minutes -Stop at the Memorial site "Brdo Žuč" to see the place where enemy forces were shooting from and where one of the most important battles of Sarajevo happened.
