Daniella speaks sincerely about the Bosnian war and the breakup of Yugoslavia. We learned so much in our time together. I highly recommend Daniella to anyone who would like to learn about the rich history of Sarajevo, the former Yugoslavia, and the current state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Danijela led an excellent tour. She was quite professional, on time, and the tour was as described. The best part of the tour was when she began describing her personal experiences during the war. That is when the tour really became alive and not just a visit to a site or historic location. We strongly recommend this tour.
This tour was extremely interesting. The Tunnel of Life gave me a really good overview of the different challenges and struggles that people experienced during the last war. I did not walk through the complete part of the tunnel as I got extremely claustrophobic (I'm 6'3" and it definitely was not built for tall people!). The Olympic mountain part of the tour provided me with a completely different view of Sarajevo. In addition, Danijela provided me with many interesting facts about Sarajevo.
When it comes to exploring the complex and difficult recent history of Sarajevo, Danijela is the perfect guide. Extremely knowledgeable, she is also able to give personal accounts of life in Sarajevo during the war. She is informative and engaging, providing in-depth, unhurried walks around the locations on her tours. I can't reccommend her highly enough.
We spent a wonderful day with Danileja on a customized tour. On the day on the tour when introducing herself, we already knew we would spend a awesome time together. Danileja introduced us to her son that joined us for the day and they both gave us so many details and explanation about the siege and the war. They didn't count their time and we learnt so much. A big thank you to both of them for making this day so special and unique! We'll definitively be back. Hervé, Michel and Stephan
