Hello, and thank You for visiting my profile. Born and raised here, in Sarajevo, and I know every corner, and almost every local here. I spent one year in Kuwait, learning arabic language, and cultural differences. I lived in Istanbul for 3 months. Now, reasons because I became a tour guide, are simple. I wish every traveler had a tour guide like me, a person who knows a lot about everything, where to eat, what to do, where to go, what to buy. In the same time, when You live in Sarajevo, You have to double the work so You can travel outside of Sarajevo . Best way of traveling, without traveling is to have people coming to You. As the name says, in this tour we will eat traditional bosnian food, we won't pray but we will see all 4 religion tour objectives (mosque, cathedral, orthodox church and Jewish synagogue) and You will love every corner of my city. We will try most famous local Bosnian food, pie (burek) or cevapi, kajmak which is creamy cheese, baklava, (traditional Bosnian sweet) and natural handmade juice. We will also visit few places like karavansaray, an old inn, where You had 3 days and 3 nights to sleep for free in time of Ottomans. We will see exact place where East meets West. We will walk through main walking street in Sarajevo, and we will pay attention to details, since a lot of people don't.
Emin introduced us to the complex history of Bosnia and the town of Sarajevo, where there is a complex meeting of the cultures. Sarajevo was ground zero for the violent breakup of Yugoslavia and the history and events of the 1990's made for an interesting afternoon. We also enjoyed eating and drinking local - away from the tourists. Thank you, Emin
I enjoyed my tour of Sarajevo with Emin. He was knowledgeable and easy to talk to (his English is amazing). I really liked that he provided a variety of experiences during our tour.... everything from touring mosque/church/synagogue to coffee break, visiting artisans and going to the market to get local products (that we ate on a bench in a plaza). Bright informative young man from Sarajevo with significant family history. Expanded the tour to include many things for this first time visitor. Fascinating great day on foot exploring the many different aspects of this beautiful city. A definite highlight of my time in the region.
