If we could give Ahmed 10 stars, we would. First of all Ahmed arrived promptly. He was very accommodating and customized his tour to show us some places we wanted to see. Despite changing the tour, Ahmed took us on a tour that was logistically natural and thorough. Ahmed was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Sarajevo. He prefaced the tour by telling us that the history of Sarajevo is complex. He did a wonderful job helping us put the puzzle pieces together. He stopped at meaningful places on the way and helped us envision the siege from a strategic perspective. Ahmed was also able to share personal insights that made the tour even more amazing. He gave us a glimpse into the struggles of the people of Sarajevo at that time. Ahmed speaks English very well and we felt very safe with his driving. He even offered us a restaurant recommendation; the restaurant he recommended hit it out of the ballpark! We highly recommend a tour with Ahmed. You will not be disappointed.

Overview of your Sarajevo tour
The siege of Sarajevo was one of the longest sieges in the history of modern warfare. The Capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina was under siege by the army of Republica Srpska from April 5th 1992 to February 29th 1996, during the Bosnian war. The siege was a year longer then the siege of Leningrad in WW2. During this tragic period, 11000 civilians were killed or went missing and about 1500 children were killed. On the tour, you will visit the most important places from this period and hear the real stories and first-hand testimonies about the dangers of everyday life and survival in a besieged city.
