"Vienna waits for you" - this rather unknown song by my favourite singer Billy Joel should be your motto! My name is Katharina and I am a real local! I was born and raised in this beautiful city and love it very much! Having followed my passion for history I graduated from the University of Vienna and became a certified tourist guide. Since 2001 I am showing guests from all over the world the beauties and secrets of this fascinating town. I offer customized tours and programs depending on your interests and time, also especially for families with children. Vienna offers such a huge variety of attractions - music, the rich Habsburg heritage, culture and culinary delights at every corner. Discover Vienna with an insider, visit places and hear stories that you would not find in any guide book. And in the end I guarantee: You will fall in love with this city and surely want to come back. Can't wait to hear from you. . . Austria Tourist Guide since 2001 Academic studies of subjects History & Theatre, Film and Television Sciences, Universität Wien (official graduation in 2008) I am a fully licensed Austria Tourist Guide and there are no restrictions in my guiding service. I am not a driver though, but can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

It will be my pleasure to show you various sides of my beautiful hometown, telling you stories from the time of the monarchy and the Habsburg dynasty as well as current gossip. Hear about empress Elisabeth who was quite a beauty queen of her time and tried out weird beauty recipes, e. g. using raw veal as a facial mask to stay forever young. . . I will tell you many more fascinating stories about Sisi (that's her nickname) who is almost unknown in the English-speaking area. We will walk along the traces of famous composers like W. A. Mozart, Joseph Haydn, and Ludwig van Beethoven and see the places where they have lived and worked, and much more. . . Vienna offers a lot to those visiting this beautiful city, and together with an experienced, licensed tourist guide who has spent her whole life in this town, you will see more of it in less time.
Beginning at Vienna's Opera House we walk along the former Habsburg residence "Hofburg Palace", get a splendid view to Ringstreet, then stroll via elegant shopping streets to St. Stephan's Cathedral. On our way we will pass famous cafés and hidden corners. Then we will enter Viennas old quarters with some very scenic corners. During this tour you may get suggestions for your further sightseeing program in Vienna.
