Hello! My name is Alice. I am French, born and bred, and since my childhood I have travelled across France, Europe and North America. Hence my passion for travelling and discovering new countries, cultures and people. When not travelling physically, my parents who were avid cinephiles showed me loads of films, and a high variety of shows and artworks to feed my passion and curiosity of others. During my studies and at the start of my career I had the opportunity to live in different countries - Germany, Canada and Italy- and to experience locals' day to day lives, discovering in depth their cultures, learning their language and even befriending them. I moved in Melbourne a few years ago with my husband and 2 daughters and very soon I fell in love with the city, the history it carries, and all the stories and treasuries it hides. That's how I've decided to combine my passion with my occupation and to become a tour guide. I will be honored to take you on tour and show you Melbourne, its architecture, its main landmarks as well as its very hidden streets. And I will help you to understand how it was founded and how it became this vibrant modern city that we know today. As a French native I will share with you my personal vision of Melbourne, nourished by my own culture and the experience I've gathered travelling and living abroad. And I would love to exchange with you about your own experience as a traveler. I will be happy to get in touch with you before the tour to understand your interests and expectations and to tailor the tour for you. Melbourne is a city best discovered on foot so I don't drive a car for my tours. However, I can arrange any kind of public transportation to bring you to the places you'd like to discover. I can hold my tours either in English or in French. I will also be able to converse with you in Italian or German, before or during the tour, if those are any of your favorite languages. I hope to meet you soon! - Tour Guides Australia (TGA) member - TGA Micro Credential Training Course in May 2023 - Public Liability insurance cover - First Aid certification : first aid, anaphylaxis, asthma, CPR - Master's Degree in IT Engineering I am not a driver ; I will guide you to explore Melbourne on foot and - if needed and agreed with you - by public transportation (mainly trams.)

Melbourne has a very compact Central Business District (CBD), gathering its most iconic places on a 1 km x 1, 5 km city grid of wide streets and narrow laneways ; that's why the city is really best discovered on foot. I'll take you to the heart of the city, telling you the stories behind the historic buildings offering beautiful architecture, stunning facades as well as very rich interiors - that you'll be able to enter during our wandering. Together we'll explore how multicultural Melbourne is, and I'll give you the keys to understand where this diversity comes from. We will be mainly walking ; still we have the option to catch a tram whenever we feel it necessary during the tour.
The tour can be tailored to your owns interests, our start/stop location will be at your own convenience and we'll go at your pace, so every tour will be unique ! A typical circuit will usually include the following sites: - Federation Square, St Paul Cathedral, Flinders Street Station and Young & Jackson pub (some of the most iconic buildings of the city) - A walk along the beautiful Collins Street, offering magnificent buildings from the Gold Rush era - The Royal and Block Arcades, as well as different laneways packed with local shops, galleries, cafes, and street art - And the State Library of Victoria - offering free exhibitions and the famous La Trobe Reading Room.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
