Having now travelled the Great Ocean road more than 200 times I have designed and refined this spectacular tour to be interesting, captivating and manageable. Depending on the season and day we may do the" reverse "which allows us to get to the apostles at the best time for photo ops and avoiding traffic. 1. We will travel west to join to The Great Ocean road ; possibly sighting kangaroos in an unexpected and an unusual place. 2. Our first stop a sight seeing walk, refreshments and bathroom. 3. Then onto Lorne a popular seaside resort with a spectacular viewing sight known to me . 4. Our next stop we may see Koalas, king parrots ,rosellas and cockatoos - in the wild. 5. We stop for a break and lunch at Apollo Bay- local seafoods 6. After lunch we drive through the spectacular Otway temperate rain forest. 7. We arrive at the mighty Apostles and move onto other surprisingly magnificent sights 8. We return via the cattle farming area known as the inland road or if the reverse along the ocean road
If we could, we would rate this higher than five out of five! Truly exceptional day with an outstanding guide. Errol is a master of the detour and the surprise (trust us, say yes every time he asks if you are up for a detour or a surprise!). We had so much fun and laughed a lot despite the rain and wind. The sights, the sounds, the beauty and the history stuck with us, and we will surely be hiring Errol again if we find ourselves back in Melbourne. Goodonya, Errol!
We had a magnificent day on the GOR and highly recommend Errol. The entire day focused on what we wanted to see and do. Errol was very personable and informative. His vehicle was comfortable and clean. Errol exceeded our expectations and made our experience worthwhile. Don’t hesitate to book a tour with Errol, you’ll be glad you did.
Had a great day with Errol. Spectacular scenery. Errol actually reversed the usual itinerary so as to avoid the large tour buses. We had a few interesting and fun stops along the way to the 12 Apostles. Errol was well versed on the fascinating geologic origins of the landscape. As an added bonus we got to see a Koala and a mob of kangaroos. Only regret is that we weren’t able to stop at more lookout point along the coast road back. All in all it was an excellent tour. Errol R. Was an excellent driver . He knew the Great Ovean Rosd. He suggested the helicopter tour of the 12 apostles and it was just what we needed due to my husband’s mobility issues. We had a nice meal in Apollo Bay at a local pub he suggested we saw koala and a kangaroo . He really tailored our tour to what we wanted to do , I would highly recommend him for your tour guide. !
What a fantastic adventure with Errol today. The 12 Apostles were so amazing, stunning. But there was more endless beaches, beach towns, Kangaroo who can golf, Koala who posed for pictures and very cute Lamas. A must use guide and now our friend!
Errol lead us on a rollicking tour of the coast and back. Fielded all our many questions with ease of a seasoned guide... and knew all the best side locales. Saw a Koala and Kangaroos and the most beautiful coastline I have ever seen and I felt like I was spending the day with a friend. Cheers Errol!
I will collect you from your hotel at time to be agreed and confirmed . Earliest is best ! We travel west to join up with the great ocean road. We may sight kangaroos in the wild at an unexpected location Stopping for refreshments and a walk at the spectacular split point lighthouse. Onwards to Lorne a popular seaside resort. . . with more great photo opportunities. Onwards towards Apollo Bay stopping at Kennett river for a possible sighting of Koalas in the wild and beautiful Rosellas, King Parrots and Cockatoos. A rest stop with lunch at Apollo Bay at a popular fresh sea food diner or your choice. On through the Otway temperate rain forests with tall mountain ash trees and lush ferns . Time allowed a walk through the forest . Arriving at Apostles visitor centre and continuing onwards to other magnificent bays and outcrops. Returning home via the picturesque farming area on the inland road allowing you to rest after a spectacular day out.
