Hello! My name is Alice. I am French, born and bred, and since my childhood I have travelled across France, Europe and North America. Hence my passion for travelling and discovering new countries, cultures and people. When not travelling physically, my parents who were avid cinephiles showed me loads of films, and a high variety of shows and artworks to feed my passion and curiosity of others. During my studies and at the start of my career I had the opportunity to live in different countries - Germany, Canada and Italy- and to experience locals' day to day lives, discovering in depth their cultures, learning their language and even befriending them. I moved in Melbourne a few years ago with my husband and 2 daughters and very soon I fell in love with the city, the history it carries, and all the stories and treasuries it hides. That's how I've decided to combine my passion with my occupation and to become a tour guide. I will be honored to take you on tour and show you Melbourne, its architecture, its main landmarks as well as its very hidden streets. And I will help you to understand how it was founded and how it became this vibrant modern city that we know today. As a French native I will share with you my personal vision of Melbourne, nourished by my own culture and the experience I've gathered travelling and living abroad. And I would love to exchange with you about your own experience as a traveler. I will be happy to get in touch with you before the tour to understand your interests and expectations and to tailor the tour for you. Melbourne is a city best discovered on foot so I don't drive a car for my tours. However, I can arrange any kind of public transportation to bring you to the places you'd like to discover. I can hold my tours either in English or in French. I will also be able to converse with you in Italian or German, before or during the tour, if those are any of your favorite languages. I hope to meet you soon! - Tour Guides Australia (TGA) member - TGA Micro Credential Training Course in May 2023 - Public Liability insurance cover - First Aid certification : first aid, anaphylaxis, asthma, CPR - Master's Degree in IT Engineering I am not a driver ; I will guide you to explore Melbourne on foot and - if needed and agreed with you - by public transportation (mainly trams.)

Join me for a relaxed and immersive 4-hour wander through Melbourne, where we’ll uncover the city’s rich history, its eclectic architecture, and the unique charm of its vibrant laneways. During this tour, I’ll take you beyond the usual tourist spots and into the quieter, lesser-known corners of the city — places where Melbourne hides some of its most spectacular treasures dating back to the Gold Rush era of the mid-19th century. At that time, Melbourne was one of the wealthiest cities in the world, proudly earning the nickname “Marvellous Melbourne.” Much of the gold-generated wealth was used to build grand homes and stunning public buildings, many of which still stand today, waiting to be discovered. We’ll explore mostly on foot, but we can always hop on a tram whenever it feels right — it’s all part of the local experience. Come along and let the real Melbourne reveal itself to you!
This tour is fully tailored to your interests — we start and finish wherever suits you best, and we explore at the pace that feels most comfortable for you. Every experience is truly one-of-a-kind, thoughtfully crafted to match your curiosity and preferences. From the charming Victorian terrace houses to the beautifully restored Parliament of Victoria ; from the magnificent banking chambers — built to attract and safeguard the gold freshly extracted from the mines — to the UNESCO-listed Royal Exhibition Building and its lush surrounding gardens, I’ll guide you through the architectural masterpieces that emerged during the dazzling era of "Marvellous Melbourne". Discover a side of the city that few visitors ever encounter, and let Melbourne’s history, elegance and hidden stories come vibrantly to life.
