I love travelling! And that's why I've made of it my way of life. I'm a professional guide. Since 1999 I've been working in Salta, my birth place, and after that in the whole of Argentina, and in other countries, like Bolivia and Chile, South Africa, Namibia and Bostwana, until I've found my second home in Norway, where I spend half of the year. In the austral summers I'm in Argentina, ready to show the marvellous landscapes of the Argentinian Northwest. I work with a 4x4 car, and I love going out of the beaten paths, discovering hidden places, and taking the time to enjoy every single moment: a sunset, a glass of wine, a chat with a local person. During boreal summers I'm in Norway and I bike all over the amazing Oslo, to show travellers the most significant places: from the old city to the super modern new areas, from busiest working neighborhoods to relaxing green parks, from the main touristic attractions to the hidden spots where locals live, eat, work and have fun. I like sports. I believe that walking or biking gives you a much closer contact with the enviroment. You don't need to be a fit person, we can adapt the experience to all the levels, but I definitely suggest you to try it. The colors will seem stronger, you will feel the sounds, the smells, and the wind will stroke your face. I enjoy the contact with people, and I want to share what I've learned with you to help to make of your trip the best experience. Tourist Guide, registered in the Tourism Ministry of Salta. Certified guide in Oslo, Norway. Owner and guide of a company providing bike tours in Oslo. Degree in Tourism. Cafayate is the most important wine region in the North of Argentina. To deserve a glass the caractheristic torrontes wine produced there, you should travel along an amazing gorge called "Quebrada de las Conchas". This unique landscape is formed by sandstone red rocks that the wind took thousands years to shape. It is worth to visit it! I'm a wine lover, and will make you learn about this particular region wines. You will then choose which winery you want to visit, it can be small or big, industrial or organic, cheap or expensive, or even champanoise hand made wine. After lunch, we take the same road back to Salta, but enjoying a different light, and new photo stops. If you are a nature lover, like me, then take the time to enjoy it! Let's travel slow. . . If you are ready to do some shorts walks out of the main road, I would be happy to take you. Remember that all the tours can be adapted to your interests: do not hesitate to ask for a custmized tour.
Starting Salta, we follow the Lerma Valley, sorrounded by tobacco plantations to aproach the mountains. We leave the green, and drive along the «Quebrada de las Conchas" (Shell's gorge). Colourful mountains, with suggestive forms. We will travel slow, and we are going to stop as many times as you want, to take pictures of the highlights. Some of them are knowns as: "La Garganta del Diablo" (The Devil's Gorge), "El Anfiteatro" (The Anphitheatre), "Tres Cruces", "La Yesera" one of my favourites… and finally "Los Castillos" (The Castles), before reaching our final stop, Cafayate. The city was developed around the wine industry, so we will spend some time learning about the local wines, and if you are ready, tasting them! Before, or together with lunch. In the afternoon we will take the same road back to Salta. The light will give thee landscape a complete different character, so we will make new stops for pictures and walks. Remember to bring light and comfortable cloths and shoes, jacket, suncream and camera!
