I'm a Professor of Social Communication Sciences, a Tour Guide specialized in the City of Buenos Aires and currently studying for a third degree in Museology, but above all I'm an incurable and eclectic reader and collector. You might think of me as a Renaissance man: arts, history, gastronomy, politics, music and a long etcetera, everything gets my attention. I'm passionate about life and knowledge, and I love transmitting that passion, either as an educator or as tour guide, as both professions have a lot in common if properly approached. But not only am I a bookworm, I have been a marathoner, participating in some of the most important marathons in the world, I love hiking and trekking, I've done scuba diving and parachuting, and I'm constantly open to new experiences. Located only 35 km/21 miles from downtown Buenos Aires, the Tigre Delta is one of the biggest deltas in the world, formed by more than 5000 islands. The town of Tigre is the starting point for a visit to the Paraná Delta. For decades, locals have escaped to this quiet area — known as the green Venice of South America — away from the fast pace of Buenos Aires. Just a short distance from the city, it is a completely different experience in this water community with no roads. But that is not all, on our way towards Tigre we will ride through the beautiful north suburbs of Buenos Aires. History, nature and beauty all combined in one.

It was an excellent tour. He was intelligent and extremely knowledgeable on everything along the tour and about Argentina. He constantly worried about our needs and it was a delight to be with him. He adjusted the tour to include more stops when we had less travel time then planned. I can't imagine what else we could have asked from him. A great tour.

• Our first stop after leaving Buenos Aires is San Isidro, one of the most exclusive residential districts. Here we can admire the former colonial mansions belonging to the wealthiest class of porteños, dating back to the early XIX century. • Then we continue to Tigre city, visiting the traditional Puerto de Frutos, a popular and picturesque market. Here we will have an option to have a bite at one of the many local food stalls and restaurants. If you prefer something different for your lunch, you are in luck, the northern suburbs are some of the most exclusive neighborhoods in all the Metropolitan area of Buenos Aires. • Later we will head to the fluvial port where we will board a typical catamaran passenger ferry sailing for about an hour through the Delta rivers. As we sail, we will explore the origin of the Delta islands, its inhabitants, the historical palaces and yacht clubs along the way, as well as traditional floating services.
