I am Elisabet and I am ready to show you Buenos Aires. I love being a local guide. I have been guiding for the last 20 years. And I have been working for ToursByLocals for the last 16 years. Hola! I am Elisabet a local guide who loves Buenos Aires city but. . . . . I also love the outskirts. This tour is ideal to spend a relaxing day with good food, nice activities and experience a working ranch at our Pampas. We will have a stop at the "gaucho" town of San Antonio de Areco. Time seems to have stopped at this town. If love to go to its "pulperías" (kind of old bars) as you can see that the decoration inside is the same as it was a century ago. And the best thing is that nobody tries to change it. The gauchos usually go to have a glass of wine and have long conversations. Everyone is so friendly here! The silversmiths are another of the town 's attractions. Unique pieces that you will find only at this town. What travelers like about this tour is that they visit an old town full of traditions and a working ranch with a beautiful and peaceful surrounding. PLEASE ASK ME BEFORE YOU BOOK. Elisabet provided us with an amazing view of the countryside and pampas area in our tour. She is so very knowledgeable about the area and the people. The Draghi silversmith museum was most impressive; we were able to meet the resident family silversmith. At the ranch, the demonstration of horse training by a gaucho at the ranch was impressive and the food was super abundant; we tasted so many things. Elisabet was a gracious guide and we highly recommend her.

This was the second day of three days we had booked with Elisabet. It was just as fantastic as the first. She was just as great as she was on the city tour, and spent even more time giving us as much information about Argentina, and its rural heritage, as we wanted. The tour itself is wonderful. The folks at the ranch are friendly, the food is great (come hungry), the activities and entertainment are fun. We highly recommend the tour and Elisabet. You can't go wrong with her or this tour

We've all heard of gauchos and this tour is a great chance to visit a ranch and see them in person. The drive to the ranch takes a while but it's worth it. Once there you can ride horses or the wagon with the gauchos, you'll enjoy the huge lunch, there's dancing and even a show of horse training. Elisabet Is a wonderful guide. She's very courteous, professional, and her English is excellent.
I will pick you up and start our trip to San Antonio de Areco. This town is an old, typical town of Buenos Aires outskirts. You will feel the calm atmosphere of this place. After strolling around its streets, main square and cute church we will head to the Estancia which is not so touristic as the common ones. We will have lunch under some huge trees or at a patio. There are some optional activities that you can do before lunch: riding horses, swimming pool, carriages. It is a very nice place in the middle of the field. You will learn about the history of the Gaucho life. After a very good meal we will watch a show and then we will go back to the city.
