** I'M FULLY VACCINATED** Welcome to the Buenos Aires, the city of the Tango!. My name is Mirta. I'm 100% "Porteña"!. I was born and grew up in Buenos Aires and I love my city and its people!. For 30 years I have been working as a teacher in an elementary school, I'm retired now, but I still keep working as a Tour Guide. I'm a quiet person and I like to organize relaxed tours, no rushed, taking our time in each stop, enjoying the day. I love Tango Music, I'm a tango dancer and tango teacher, I go to dance twice a week. I love the history of this of this city, called "The Paris of South America", cradle of writers, musician, soccer players and artists. Buenos Aires is surrounded by a "halo" of mystery. I would like to take you to lead you in Buenos Aires, taking you to explore every single corner, telling you every single story and admiring every single iconic place. I like to provide you a complete introduction to our history, but I also like to share with you my favorite places (not necessary touristic places), to test "empanadas" in my favorite restaurant, to see street art and to listen local music…in other words, to share with you a day immersed in our culture. After a tour you will understand better the "idiosyncrasy" of the argentines. - National Tour Guide - English teacher - Elementary teacher I am not a driver. I arrange for a private car and driver.

The tour starts after picking you up at your hotel or Cruise Terminal. We drive to Plaza de Mayo, where we leave the car and we walk around the square. Here you can appreciate the Government House (Casa Rosada), BA Metropolitan Cathedral (the church where the Pope Francis used to celebrate mass). Also here you will know the place where the mothers of the people killed during the dictatorship time are still meeting weekly. Then we drive towards south, visiting La Boca, district plenty of tango and street painters. After having lunch in a local place, we explore the north of the city (Recoleta), neighbourhood which gives the nickname of "Paris of South America" to our city (guided visit to the cemetery is included). We finish the tour visiting Palermo Gardens. Along the tour I will provide you with a complete introduction about our country, our history and our culture. This tour involves the highlights and also some areas outside of the beaten tracks. For more info, please contact me by message.
Mirta extremely knowledgeable and engaging
Top notch in every way. Charismatic and warm, extremely knowledgeable on every topic, great driver (so easy to mix walking with driving), flexible on how the day unfolded…felt like we had spent the day with close friends
Mirta provided an excellent overview of Buenos Aires. She was extremely kind, considerate, knowledgeable, professional and interesting. Her tour made us realize that we need to return to this fascinating city in the near future to further explore the many facets of this beautiful and interesting place. Many thanks for a wonderful day!
Mirta was a fine guide, right on time, great driver. She is strong particularly on the history of Argentina and surrounding countries. We have had two days with Mirta and are looking forward to a third tour.
Great tour of the different neighborhoods in Buenos Aires. Mirta had a driver with a car which made it easy to visit such a large area of the city.
