Welina mai (Welcome) to the Mokupuni (Island) of Oahu! My name is Leina. Born on the west side of the island and raised by my grandparents, I was blessed to be immersed in my Hawaiian culture thru Hula as well as 'Olelo (Hawaiian Language). Today, I enjoy sharing this knowledge taught to me by my Kupuna's (elders) as well as Kumu's (Teachers) in order to perpetuate and educate our culture, the Kanaka Oiwi (Indigenous People of Hawaii) to all Malihini (Visitors) and Returning Kamaaina who are willing to accept this gift of Knowledge. I am a fountain of Information when it comes to the Island of Oahu. From a very young age, my family has hosted visitors from all over the world for the purpose of this special cultural exchange. Growing up and into my adult life, I recall connecting and learning from all those hosted, and taking our guests to discover our Islands Sacred Places and Beautiful Landscape. Many of these relationships have turned into life long friendships and Ohana (Family).
