Hi! My name is Martin, and I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Eight years ago, destiny — and love — brought me to San Sebastián, a place that felt like home from the very beginning. Today, I work here as a professional tour guide, offering private tours designed to provide authentic and personalized experiences in this extraordinary region. Growing up, I was passionate about history, geography, politics, and economics. Tourism naturally became the perfect path for me, as it brings together all these interests while allowing meaningful connections with people from around the world. I began my professional journey in the hotel industry, where I developed strong service values and refined my concierge skills — learning that true hospitality is about creating unforgettable experiences. When I moved to the Basque Country, I immersed myself fully in its culture and learned the Basque language. It was a way to honor my family’s ancestry and reconnect with my roots, as my family on my mother’s side had emigrated from the Basque Country to Argentina generations ago. Embracing the language and traditions felt like closing a circle in my own story. The deeper I explored this fascinating and sometimes mysterious land, the more certain I became that sharing it with others was my true calling. Beyond guiding, two of my greatest passions are Yoga and rock climbing. Both have deeply shaped my way of living and working. Yoga has taught me the importance of balance, presence, and mindful awareness — qualities that allow me to truly listen to my guests and adapt each experience to the moment. Rock climbing, on the other hand, has strengthened my sense of focus, resilience, and trust — in myself, in others, and in the journey. Together, these passions constantly remind me to live each moment fully and vibrantly, something I naturally bring into every tour I lead. For the past five years, I have proudly worked as a tour guide, continuing to discover this mysterious land by doing what I love most.
