My name is Eleonora, and it was given to me after my great-grandmother, a resolute old times Tuscan lady who survived both world war I and II striving for her social and economic independence as a single mother, and yet finding the time to cook amazing recipes which are still in the family book! My mother loved and valued her so much she wanted me to become as open minded and enthusiastic as she was and I am doing my best to continue the tradition. Following the steps of the family mantra "live to explore" I have become a cultural anthropologist searching the globe to study the unique variety of the human and natural world. I spent some of the best months of my life in New Orleans (USA) investigating the impact of hurricane Katrina on social bounds and community values. Eventually in 2012 I came back to Italy and settled down in Florence, the vibrant heart of my beloved Tuscany, as I started a new career as a local guide in the aim of giving back to foreigners the thrill and beauty of discovery I experienced myself while traveling. I am passionate about life stories, art and story telling and I won't be shy in revealing the dark sides of Florence and its controversies a pure florentine might be cautious in sharing with you and for sure that you won't hear on a public uncustomized tour. I am a hiker and a nature lover and if you are too I would love to discover the city together starting from its lush and lovely countryside.
