Guide #49205
Greetings to you all. My name is Brian, I was born in Dublin where I enjoyed city life as a kid but moved to the unspoilt countryside for the majority of my youth in County Kildare, which is apart of the greater Dublin area today. I have always been someone who would talk to anyone and combine that personality with a passion for Ireland and it's history well I've been born with a gift, gift of the gab, my tours are a gift I would like to share with you as I am a natural born ambassador for my country. I love to meet new people and share with them the incredible stories of Ireland. Its an absolute pleasure. I specialise in small private day trips, I can carry a max of 8 in my vehicle, Volkswagon Shuttle. if you have a larger group I can hire a bus to transport the group. I'm available for walking tours of Dublin. Groups of all sizes, solo travellers, couples, families and friends. Schools and University groups welcome too. I started as a Tour Guide in 2015, I volunteered in a Cathedral, I worked as a Tour Guide on a bus tour of Dublin, I worked in a history Museum, I conducted walking tours of Dublin and day trips to the Cliffs of Moher and Galway, Giants Causeway and Belfast, Glendalough and Kilkenny, Malahide and Howth and Tara and Newgrange. All in all its been and amazing adventure and I've loved every minute of it. An adventure which I look forward to on a daily basis. I'm a very experienced Tour Guide and I love questions whether its general questions about Dublin's restaraunts, bars, music scene or specific questions on the history of the country. Its a pleasure for me to share the history of the Celts, Vikings, Normans, famine, folklore, mythology, emigration and independence. I love reading and music so I love to chat about Irish writers such as Oscar Wilde, James Joyce, Samuel Beckett, Brendan Behan, George Bernard Shaw, W. B. Yeats or musicians such as as U2, Sinead O Connor, Thin Lizzy, The Dubliners, Clannad, The Cranberries and Celtic Woman just to name a few. I also speak the Irish language or Gaelic as some refer to it and it would be a pleasure to share and teach you some of the words of my native tongue. If you have any special requests, any niche interests, thats perfectly fine. They say every street has a story. If for example you would like to trace your roots and would like to visit a village in which your ancestors lived I can bring you there. If you're a fan of a certain musician, actor, era of history I can tailor a tour for all your interests. We can make memories together and capture that special kodak moment together. I'm very flexible and have my own transport. Looking forward to showing around our amazing city of Dublin and island of Ireland. Fantastic day with Brian touring Dublin. He has great energy and an incredible knowledge of Ireland history. We all learned quite a good deal of information, which was sprinkled with his witty humor. Excellent driving and flexibility with our group needs. Highly recommend using Brian Hennessey for your tour.
Wow, what an incredible day we had with Brian as we toured Belfast, the bridge, the Giant's Causeway and other incredible sites. Brian was informative and a pleasure to spend the day with. My son loved talking football and comedy with Brian. Highly recommend Brian for this trip. It was an exceptional day. Thank you Brian.
Brian was a gracious and knowledgeable host for our day traveling up to the Giants Causeway ans Rope Bridge. I generally like to travel the whole way with a guide, as so much useful conversation can take place in transit. We had some great history offered by Brian on the drive up, including discussion about Dublin, St Patrick, conflict in the North, and the geological...
My family and I had a great time on this three castle tour led by Brain. He made it interesting and fun for the whole group ranging from age 52 to 14 years old.
