I’m Ewan, a filmmaker, artist, and passionate storyteller, here to show you a side of Paris you won’t find in the guidebooks. Since 2020, I’ve been leading immersive walking tours, bringing the city's incredible history, art, and culture to life.

What makes Paris so special? It’s more than just a beautiful city—it’s a place where history has been made on every street corner. For centuries, these very streets have sparked groundbreaking ideas, revolutionary movements, and artistic masterpieces. From the cafés where writers and philosophers changed the way we see the world to the hidden alleys where history was written, Paris has a magic that continues to inspire. And I can’t wait to share it with you!

With a Master’s in the History and Philosophy of Art from the University of Kent and a degree from Le Fresnoy – National Studio of Contemporary Art, I’ve spent years exploring the deeper layers of this city. My tours are not just about seeing famous landmarks—they’re about experiencing Paris, understanding what makes it tick, and uncovering the surprising, hidden stories that bring it to life.

If Paris is a moveable feast, the Marais is certainly the heart of it! Once a swamp on the outskirts of Paris, Le Marais has today become its nerve center. An essential trendy district, popular for both visitors and Parisians, Le Marais keeps much more than one secret in its sleeve, which I will show you during this surprising walk!

Follow me through hidden square and picturesque alleys to hear about the story of this amazing Old Paris that sometimes looks like a charming small village, and where parks hide to better surprise you! During this guided tour starting from the elegant Place des Vosges I will bring back the memories of remarkable figures of French history, like the Duke of Sully, André Malraux and Madame de Sevigné, but also of some that history forgot, just like the young Count of Montgomery, who unintentionally opened the door to one of the most important urban operations of the Marais.

Essential Marais, the very Heart of Paris

This tour is carefully designed to explore the history of Paris and see the most famous sites.

I will meet you at the front of the very famous Shakespeare and Company Café where we will begin our tour. We will walk towards Notre Dame and through the Ile de la Cite. I will also take you by the Seine river towards the Louvre Museum and we will make some stops along the way by the Saint Chapelle, Palais Justice, Conciergerie, Seine River, Pont Neuf, Pont des Arts - Paris old Love-Lock Bridge, etc.

I will tell interesting stories along the way and take you to the Eiffel Tower to get a breathtaking view of the City of Lights. Additionally, you may opt to drink a glass of Champagne at the very top of the Eiffel Tower.

I will share the colourful and exciting history of Paris and its evolution as well as provide insights on the monuments that you see. I will also give you some time to take the experience in as I give insightful anecdotes and provide time to capture your Parisian experience by photo.

Come with me on a whirlwind tour of the most beautiful city in world.  We will uncover the fascinating history behind some of the worlds more famous sites, and I'll supply you with enumerable anecdotes you can keep with you forever!

This is a great tour to pack in as much as possible into one day for those on a tight schedule and its also perfect way to orientate your self and get your bearings for those staying a little longer. I am passionate about sharing my experience of the city I am lucky enough to call home and aim to provide an unforgettable experience every time.

We will mainly be discovering Paris on foot, and viewing the attractions from the exterior, so you will not need entrance tickets. We will also be taking the metro several times so you will armed with a Mobelis day ticket that you can buy at any metro stop.
