The love story, with a cinema twist
"But, soft! what light through yonder window breaks?
It is the east, and Juliet is the sun".
What is the reason why Romeo constantly refers to light and brightness, when he talks of Juliet? Why is Juliet so immensely popular? Why is this story so evocative for cinema?
On this tour we learn that Shakespeare was a creator of immortal human types, among which Juliet stands in all her beauty, courage and. . . sense of reality.
From the very beginning, cinema has been super-aware of her charme, but nobody had thought of making a movie IN Verona up to "Letters to Juliet" (2010): letters? to Juliet?
Yes! Did you know that she is actually sent an average of 25 letters/day from all over the world?

We thoroughly enjoyed the Romeo and Juliet tour with Valerie. We had our two daughters aged 7 and 8 with us and she engaged with them throughout the tour and adapted it to suit their interests and understanding. An excellent tour based on the story made colourful whilst being on the set! I would highly recommend Valerie for tours with kids as she has a lovely manner which engages them and keeps their interest
