Therefore, my goal is to match your interests and holiday goals with my knowledge and experience to guide you around Melbourne and Victoria.
I will do my utmost to provide you with a private tour that showcases diverse scenery, history and cultural experiences in and around our incredible city. I will invest critical time in planning a tour with your needs and interests being my highest priority if you prefer a customised itinerary.
I will introduce locations to you that represent 'my place' so you come to know Melbourne more intimately. I will tell stories behind the people, events and places to bring your tour alive. I will show you hidden treasures you would miss if exploring alone or in a large group. All my tours are eco-friendly to minimise our carbon footprint.
A convict ancestor means my roots are firmly grounded in Australia's history. I grew up in country Victoria and have lived in Melbourne for all my adult years. I have worked as a librarian in special libraries, schools and businesses. In recent years, I have simultaneously worked as a teacher librarian, bike tour guide and bus tour guide. I bring all of these experiences to personalised tour guiding, which you will see has become my passion!
My main interests are cycling and walking. I have cycled the French Way of The Camino in Spain, pedalled across Australia from west to east and participate in several charity rides each year. I love exploring Melbourne by bike, on foot, by public transport and by car and can offer all these experiences to you.
When not 'on tour', I'm often investigating a new (or old) building, visiting a place of historical significance, driving around country Victoria or riding along one of Melbourne's extensive bike paths, away from the crowds.
I never repeat exactly the same tour or watch the clock (unless you have a plane or ship to catch)!
I drive and guide 3 travellers in my own vehicle - a 2017 SUV Ford Escape Titanium - with air conditioning, leather seats, a sunroof, tray tables and full safety features. If you select a bike tour option, I bring 3 bikes. For groups of 4-8 travellers, I hire and drive a modern vehicle to suit.
At the conclusion of your tour, you will have seen, and appreciated Melbourne through the eyes of a local and I guarantee you will want to visit again!
Finally, I will help you with photography, provide you with a map and list of places visited and answer your questions before, during and after your tour experience.
I look forward to meeting you!

We had a wonderful day with Leanne! She gave us everything we asked for and more. Beyond the great tour of Mornington Penninsula, she also told us about the area's history and gave us tips on restaurants and sights to visit in Melbourne. It was perfect!
