Cu Chi district located in the Northwest of Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) with an underground system of tunnels network up to 250 km with 3 levels, which starts from 4 meters down to 12 meters. With a strategic location for all attacks to Saigon, once considered the headquarter of the South Vietnam and the USA army, Viet Congs and local Cu Chi guerrillas used this area like a hiding place when they got attacked back by American soldiers. This place is a must-see for all travelers visiting Ho Chi Minh City, and it can be perfectly combined with the visit to War Remnants Museum in the afternoon. I can customize this tour according to your preferences.
- You will be picked up from the meeting points: hotel/airport/train station/cruise ship, then start 1. 5 hour on your private transfer to Cu Chi tunnels. - Upon arrival at Cu Chi tunels - Ben Dinh, you will get explained very clearly through the map and the diagram of the local area to understand better of the Vietnam war as well as the life of VCs and local guerrillas. - Shoot the AK47/M16/Machine gun M30, M60 (optional) - Crawl through the tunnels with local guerrilla escort through 20m, 40m, 60m, 80m to 100m. This crawling through is optional, not a must for everyone. - Taste some VCs snacks at Hoang Cam kitchen, a smokeless kitchen invented in 1951 used by the local guerrillas - Drive back to Ho Chi Minh city on private vehicle - Visit the War Remnants museum, a must see when you are in Ho Chi Minh city. - Transfer back to hotels/airport/train station/cruise ships in the late afternoon.
