Our tours with Nhu were a pleasure. First, her English skills are strong, and she did a great job navigating difficult subjects like politics and war. Second, she did well deciding based on our input what to focus on and the amount of time needed in various locations. Third, her relaxed personality was nice amid the hectic Saigon scene.
We had 8 hours after arriving in Saigon until we left for Tokyo. I have used Tours by Locals in the past in other cities and have never been disappointed and this time proved no different. Nhu was awesome! She met us on time and quickly got started showing us the beautiful city of Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City). First was the Skydeck on the 49th floor of the Bitexco Financial Tower for amazing views of the city. Then a traditional Vietnamese lunch at a local spot. Followed by a city tour from the top deck of the Hop on Hop off Bus, ending with a fabulous performance at the Saigon Opera House before heading to the airport. Nhu coordinated everything and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with her. I highly recommend this tour with Nhu!
She was great. Her English was excellent and had all tour elements such as locations and taxis perfectly timed. The taxis she chose were very comfortable. We definitely enjoyed the tour.

Despite torrential rain at times, Nhu’s adept planning helped us navigate the city (and the (Saigon River) to see everything that we had hoped. I enjoyed my day with Nhu very much. Our time was limited by traffic & heat with humidity- both were extreme! We passed the time during the long drive to the City centre engaged in interesting conversation. The views from the Bitexco Bldg are amazing & show the new skyline against the older red roofs & Fr. Colonial Architecture. In contrast to the skyscrapers a walk up & through a very old building that was once a home is now coffee houses on each floor. Just had time for a stroll along Flower Market St.
