Ho Chi Minh City Luxurious Shore Excursion from any Cruise Port

Joseph did an amazing job bringing history to life as we explored Ho Chi Minh City. Between flower markets bursting with color and modern high rise buildings, the city is filled with contrast. As we visited famous landmarks from the fall of Saigon in 1975, it brought to life how the war impacted, good or bad, so many people. At our request, Joseph took us to a local pho soup restaurant where we savored the delicious food and conversation about his country. Thank you Joseph for making our day with you so memorable.

Joseph was a great tour guide. We were a group of six adults and we booked the tour as a cruise shore excursion. The ride from the port to HCMC was about 1 1/2 hours each way and Joseph sat with us in the back of the van and shared interesting information (as opposed to sitting up front with the driver). His English is excellent and his use of his IPad with pictures and commentary was great. He took us to the main Vietnam war and tourist sites and also took us to some back alleys with interesting facts provided. We had a great authentic beef and noodle pho lunch and he also took us to see his home to meet his Wife and Father and have tea and coffee. This was an unusual treat. The only downside was the visit to the War Crimes Museum which is now called the War Remnants Museum. There is lots of history but the museum's position is very tilted to the pro-communist views and very anti-American. Ho Chi Mihn is presented as a 100% hero when in fact he slaughtered thousands of his fellow Southern Vietnamese countrymen. You won't see any of that mentioned during the tour. Despite this one big negative, we highly recommend the tour as Joseph was a great tour guide.

What a wonderful tour, guide and driver. Joseph was very personable and extremely knowledgeable. He took us to a terrific Pho restaurant and later to a lovely place to have Vietnamese coffee. I would recommend this private tour to anyone looking for a sampling of what Ho Chi Minh City has to offer.

This was a really great tour. Joseph, our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. Although some venues were closed due to Chinese New Year Joseph ensured that we had a real taste of Saigon. He was very knowledgable and structured our tour around what we wanted to see. The city looked outstanding with its floral displays for new year. We highly recommend Joseph as your tour guide.

We booked Joseph as our guide for Saigon yesterday! It wasn't just good, it was outstanding. He picked us up directly from the ship with a driver and shared a wealth of information about Vietnam and its history with us during the drive. In Saigon, he efficiently and effectively guided us to the must-see sights, constantly sharing insider information. It felt like he knew almost everyone, and it was incredible how we traveled and walked all over the city. Amazing! Then we had a quick, delicious lunch – Vietnamese, of course, and typical of the locals! Top-notch. As the icing on the cake, he invited us to his home for coffee, and for a brief moment, we were locals. Then it was back to the ship, and of course, the driver took us right on time! That was an 11 out of 10! 😉👍🏼 We highly recommend him. You couldn't spend a day in Saigon any better! Thank you, Joseph! ☺️

Joseph was an excellent tour guide. He was very knowledgeable on Ho CHi Minh history and culture. He took us to his favorite local coffee shop for authentic Vietnam coffee... delicious.
