We had a wonderful and insightful tour with Nhu. The day before we had seen the outside of several sites by bus, but for our private tour we were quite moved to visit the War Remnants Museum and the Presidential Palace. Our special requests included Chinatown, a wet market, and a modern supermarket! All were easily added along with knowledgeable commentary and lots of information about local life in Ho Chi Minh City. We also enjoyed a local pho restaurant.

We enjoyed our entire day with Nhu! We went up to the Saigon Skydeck, saw all the amazing French colonial architecture at Notre-Dame & the Central Post office. Book street in Saigon was so cool. The War Remnants Museum was a devastating reality of the horrible war but very cool to see. The Vietnamese people are very spiritual & Nhu taught us all about the flower market & why they have flowers EVERYWHERE everyday. It's all a part of their spirituality. We saw the food market which was another reality check for the cultural differences! The temples were amazing. Such a great day - lunch at Noan (I think?) was the BEST food I had the entire month I was in Asia! Thank you Nhu for an amazing day! If anyone is in the city, 100% connect with Nhu for a tour. You won't be disappointed!
As four first time visitors to Saigon, we found that (with her driver) made exploring the must-see spots delightful and very efficient. We were whisked to and from the sites, and she guided us through most, providing history/political and “Vietnamese life” commentary in her excellent English. (The War Remnant Museum isn’t conducive to a personal guide — too much to see and too many people.). Because Nhu was a person that grew up in post-war Saigon, we learned the on-the-ground 30-something personal perspective of what it is to live in this communist country. She shared her favorite places for lunch and coffee; she answered all of our questions in these informal venues. We highly recommend a day with Nhu.
