Helen and a driver met us at the port gate and they drove us to the Mekong Delta, where Helen had organised an interesting day involving several boats, to visit the islands in the Mekong Delta for Tea, fruit, lunch and to see how life was there. It was a very interesting day and Helen was a wonderful host. She told us lots of interesting things about her country and answered all our questions generally with some humour. Her English was excellent.

In Mekong, you will: âą Visit honey bee farm and taste delicious honey tea; enjoy some tropical fruits featuring the typical characteristic of Mekong Delta. âą Navigate a small canal by rolling boat. âą Visit coconut candy workshop to know how to make delicious candies by hand. âą Enjoy the melody of "Don Ca Tai Tu", a genre of traditional folk music which is an indispensable spiritual cultural activity in Mekong Delta people's lives and officially recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. âą Have lunch at the local eco-restaurant. At the end of the journey, you will return to the ferry to the mainland to back to Saigon.
