Discover coconut kingdom of Mekong Delta. We can avoid the tourist crowds with a visit to more authentic places as follows: the rice paddy fields, fruit gardens and some local traditional industries. Ben Tre is the capital city and municipality of Ben Tre Province and is located in the Mekong Delta area of southern Vietnam. It borders Tien Giang in the North, Vinh Long in the West and Southwest, Tra Vinh in the South and around 60km coast. It is around 85 km to the South of Saigon. Ben Tre and My Tho separated by Tien River and people were used the ferries to pass the river until 2009 when the Rach Mieu Bridge was completed. Along with My Tho, Ben Tre is one of the attractive destinations. You can take one day trip from Saigon to My Tho then Ben Tre. You will have chance to experience how the Southern people life is. Everything is very simple there. Especially, tourists are able to enjoy a boat trip on Tien River, sightseeing the floating fishing village, trying the horse -cart. . .

Lee is the perfect guide for Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). Lee grew up and lives in the Mekong Delta area. He is very enthusiastic and loves his job as a travel expert. He is highly sought after and we were lucky to book Lee for two days. Day one we went to the Mekong Delta with boat ride and lunch. Day two we explored Saigon which was celebrating the Lunar New Year. The city filled with many locals wearing beautiful dresses and lots of flowers everywhere. Lee included lunch for us on both days which is highly recommended. Private driver is a must because of the millions of motor bikes, giving Lee plenty of car time for discussions about traditions and local area. Lee will make your visit one to remember. 5 STARS.

Lee was amazing from the time he picked us up from outside the Port right throughout the day till the end. Lee was a lovely guy to spend the day with, very knowledgeable and informative in regards to the culture and history of Vietnam. Lee was very patient with our 3 yr old which can be challenging at times when travelling with small children. He was very accomadating and friendly and included extra tour stops within our itinerary. We highly recommend Lee and would definitely have him again as our guide:)

This was a great tour that took us to a wide variety of sights while avoiding large crowds. Lee was fun and informative, and gave us a locals view on history and contemporary Vietnam. All entrance fees, water, and a fabulous lunch were included. The van was clean and new and boasted WiFi, an excellent touch we hadn't expected!!
Your Ho Chi Minh City tour itinerary
The driver and I will welcome you with a sign (your name) at Cruise port gate (7 to 10 minute walk from the ship) and start your day by going to visit Mekong (My Tho City and Ben Tre Town), the capital city of Tien Giang province, is about 130 km away from Phu My port around 3 hours. The morning trip will start by taking small boats and cruising on the river to visit a coconut factory to learn about the way how to make coconut candy here and taste some local products the we will walking on the local road with beautiful country sight and travel the narrow rural road by horse or Motor-cart. Then we take a boat ride through Tan Thach natural canal in Ben Tre. After that we will enjoy lunch will be served in local restaurant with a special Mekong Local style. After lunch, we will stop at bee farm on another island to enjoy honey tea, local products, and enjoy the Southern Vietnamese traditional music. + My tour itinerary is flexible and changeable to make you have local most experiences.
