Cu Chi, which is one of Saigon's five rural districts, lies on the North West of this city. During the Vietnam War period , Cu Chi was well known for its tunnels. In this tour, we will learn how the Vietcong built the tunnel complex, lived underground and fought the enemies with homemade weapons. Back in Saigon, we will learn about the history and culture of this city. *Note: If you are arriving at Hiep Phuoc port, please click "MESSAGE KHOA Đ". Khoa and his driver did a great job of getting us to CuChi and back to Ho Chi Minh according to our schedule. Khoa struck the right balance between history, culture, religion and politics and is knowledgeable about everything we saw. The tunnels are definitely worth seeing especially combined with the War Remnants Museum. Khoa also did a very good job communicating before we met up. Thank you Khoa!
Khoa was great. Paid attention to every detail of the tour, he did what we wanted to do and did not push things we did not want to do. His van was very comfortable and AC worked great, always had bottled water for us. Obviously, very knowledgeable of everything we visited and always presented the US and Vietnam perspective. He also, was very conscious of our safety and comfort at all times. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Khoa took us to so many hidden gems in the City we could not list them. From going up to the rooftop of one of the last chopper evacuation cites to taking us to hidden tunnels used in the Tet Offensive, to a unique view of the local markets. You will see many things normal tour groups never get to see.
We had a great day starting at the Cu Chi Tunnels and reconstructed Viet Cong village where we learned about the tunnel system and what life was like in the villages above them. Khoa provided great insight into the history and life of Vietnam at that time. In Saigon, we visited the just-the-right-size History Museum. Then Khoa guided us through the Ben Thanh market where we experienced an expansive and diverse scene of food, clothes, jewelry, household goods, and hundreds of people going about their day.
We really liked this tour. The tunnels and the VC village are quite impressive. Our tour guide, Khoa, was exceptional. His knowledge and unbiased comments regarding the war made the tour so much more enjoyable.
We had such a great time with Khoa on this tour! This was very informative in learning the history of the war and also seeing some of the key sites in the city. Khoa was awesome at giving us enough information and time to absorb the sites around us. He was also really flexible during the tour - we had a specific dish we wanted to try and he took us to a delicious restaurant that served it. Would highly recommend Khoa for any tour while you're in Ho Chi Minh City!
- I will meet you at your hotel lobby in Saigon or at Nha Rong port. *Notes : For travelers on the ships docking at Nha Rong port (2km from Saigon city center). I will meet you at the port gate with a sign bearing your name. The port gate is 5 to 10 minute walk from the ship, or, alternatively, you can use the shuttle bus to get to the port gate. - Then we will go to the Cu Chi tunnels (Ben Dinh). The distance between these tunnels and Saigon city center is about 50 km. - We will learn how the Vietcong built the tunnels complex , how he lived during the wartime and how he fought the enemies. * Back in Saigon, we will visit these places: - The war museum, market, the Unification Palace ( taking photo outside ) - I can customize the tour to fit your preferences.
