Travel through idyllic, rural scenes until we arrive at My Tho City, a peaceful town situated on the upper stream of the Mekong River, where we will board a motor boat on the Mekong river to visit local homes and orchards, a coconut candy workshop, a honeybee farm, take a sampan ride on palm-shaded creeks, try a taste of seasonal fruits and honey tea and enjoy a performance of traditional Southern music.
Thank you Joseph for providing our group a wonderful day exploring the Mekong Delta. Your knowledge and love for your country was infectious as we meandered our way down the river exploring the small, unique, islands and participating in activities like feeding crocodiles, having our feet cleaned by fish, helping to shred and press coconuts for making yummy candy, holding a huge boa constrictor and eating a delicious traditional Vietnamese lunch. It was a perfect tour!
There are a lot of people going to the Mekong Delta each day and I can assure you that the only way to go is on a private tour! While the hoards were trying to move around in their herds we zoomed past and were always comfortable. The day was amazing and Joseph made it even more enjoyable with his narrative and sense of humor. This is a must do!
We had a wonderful time with Joseph on the Mekong Delta. He was punctual, friendly, knowledgeable, and proficient in English. The tour was such fun, including many modes of transportation including boat, gondola, wagon etc. We visited several islands, were entertained by traditional singers and musicians, and visited a coconut candy business and honey bee farm.We enjoyed a delicious lunch at a lovely restaurant on the Mekong river. Highly recommend Joseph and the Mekong Delta tour.
At the appointed schedule, I will meet you at Phu My Port (outside the main gate of the port), and drive 2. 5 hours to My Tho City in Mekong Delta. + Upon arrival, boarding motor boat to discover Mekong River its landscapes + Visit Honey Bee Farm, ride horse cart in the countryside, taste honey tea and enjoy tropical fruits + Seeing how local coconut candy is made + Be rowed on sampan at water system + Have lunch at local restaurant + Afterwards, 1. 5 hour drive to Saigon where you will take break for 30 minutes. Finish at the Phu My port around 5:00 pm.
