I love the island of Oahu for all the outdoor activities she offers: hiking, swimming, canoe...

Why snap a photo from a moving bus, when you can walk up and touch the coral-brick walls of Old Kawaiaha'o Church? Stretch your legs on this walking tour of four blocks of Hawaiian historic buildings constructed by early Protestant missionaries, 19th Century Hawaiian royalty, and more recent architects. Stroll the grounds of Iolani Palace and Barracks before crossing King Street to the King Kamehameha the Great statue and Ali'iolani Hale, which houses Hawai'i's Supreme Court. Weekdays you may want to venture inside and learn about ancient Hawaiian laws and punishments for breaking them in the Judiciary History Center. You will recognize the New England architectural styles of the Mission Houses and Old Kawaiaha'o Church, where you'll also find beloved King Liholiho's tomb. Honolulu Hale (City Hall) the State Capitol, and Governor's Mansion round out your tour. I believe that there's more to like about the Hawaiian Islands than natural beauty. Come and join me!
