Hi, my name is Peter. I've lived in Boston for forty years and I love it. I am a certified tour guide and published historian. I enjoy Boston for its historic significance, its quirky traditions, its rough-and-tumble politics, its architecture, museums, sports teams and its people. Boston is the home of the bean and the cod, the Puritans, the Brahmin, the Kennedys, the Red Sox, Bruins and Celtics and seventy colleges and universities. Let me tell you the stories that will make Boston come alive for you. I enjoy presenting Boston's history from the colonial era to recent times and I try to do so in a way that not too stiff and scholarly, though as a historian I pride myself on my accuracy. If you're interested in the Boston Massacre or Tea Party, I'll show you the sites and tell you the stories. If architecture is what you like, let me show you how some of our buildings, both lovely and ugly, have shaped our neighborhoods. And if your interests take us beyond the city proper, for instance, to Cambridge or Quincy or beyond, I'll be happy to accommodate as time permits. I can also adjust any of my tours to accommodate up to twelve people. I find a driving tour is the best way to see as much of Boston as possible in a limited time, but if you'd prefer to do some walking while you're here of course we can. If you'd like to visit a museum or restaurant or do some shopping during your tour, no problem! I can certainly keep you entertained on my own but if you'd like to plan the tour with me that would be great too. Shoot me a note and I'll send along a list of possible attractions and their websites for you to look over. Some guests send a list of addresses where they have lived or visited in the past, and would like a "walk down memory lane. " No Problem! Check out my ratings, they're all five-star! Bring your cameras and your kids, and I'll see to it that you leave our city with wonderful memories and mementos and the feeling that you'll want to come back again soon! I have a Commercial Drivers License that permits me to carry passengers. I am a member of the Bostonian Society I have a BS degree in American Studies I am a published historian, certified visual artist and former theatre producer and business owner

Enjoyed our tour with Peter. Our ship changed ports, and he was able to change and pick us up at the new location. Also, we requested a unique tour, and he was able to create a wonderful itinerary for us to include our requested destinations.

Peter was very knowledgable and accomodating. There was a group of 6 of us, ranging in age from 10 to 80. He managed to make suggestions that made it a memorable day for all. .

We were very fortunate to secure the services of Peter for a second tour, this time Cape Ann, with stops in Gloucester, Rockport and Essex. Hotel pick-up, then about 40 minutes each way there and back. Excellent convos pre-trip to iron out the desired photo and Foodie stops. Peter recommended a wonderful spot for fried clams in Essex, (there were several choices), and what a great meal! Top notch driving, kind considerations, pleasant conversationalist made for a win=win local tour we will long treasure!
