I live on the beautiful Kent coast in the south east of England. I would be delighted to welcome you to my corner of the country and show you just how stunning the South East of England is with its gorgeous countryside, magnificent gardens, medieval towns and picturesque villages. I have always felt privileged to live in such a wonderful area that is so rich in places to visit. Since I qualified as a professional tour guide and was awarded the highly respected Blue Badge, it has given me the possibility to share my enthusiasm for the region with guests who come from all over the world. There are so many amazing sites in the counties of Kent and East Sussex that you could spend your whole vacation here. On our tour, we may find ourselves strolling along the narrow streets of a medieval town such as Rye, driving along idyllic country lanes or perhaps stopping off in a picture-postcard village such as Biddenden for a traditional cream tea or pub lunch. You will feel very safe and comfortable riding along in my very own 8-seater Mercedes_Benz V Class. This car with its excellent all-round visibility, panoramic glass roof and easy-access electric rear doors is considered to be one of the best in its class for touring. It also allows us the possibility to visit places that are inaccessible to tour buses and large groups. If you have any historical interests such as the Tudors, Charles Dickens, Winston Churchill or World War 2 history, I can also create a customised tour especially for you. If you are a keen gardener, perhaps you would like to visit one of our world-famous gardens such as Great Dixter or Sissinghurst. Wherever we go, my aim is for you to have the most enjoyable day possible while discovering something new about the history, the people and the daily life over here in England. I love sharing a good anecdote or two and will do my best to make sure your day is interesting, entertaining and memorable. If you disembark in the morning and your flight is after 5pm from Heathrow Airport, why not fit in an extra visit on the way instead of spending all that time at the airport? Windsor is the oldest castle in continuous use in the world. It has been home to royalty since its foundation by William the Conqueror in the 11th century. - Hampton Court Palace - home to some of Britain's most famous monarchs. Explore the Tudor Palace and Baroque apartments in one fascinating building. - Chartwell - family home of Sir Winston Churchill for nearly 40 years. You can also see the beautiful hillside gardens and a studio with a collection of Churchill's paintings. - RHS Wisley - flagship garden of the Royal Horticultural Society, covering 240 acres. It is always full of colour, surprises and inspiration.
Your Dover tour itinerary
From Dover Cruise terminal we will head north west in the direction of the airport. On the way there, we will have an opportunity to visit one of the amazing places which you have chosen from the suggestions above. All of these attractions are located close to major motorways which lead to LHR. We can adjust the length of the visit depending on the traffic situation, so you will not be rushed or late for your airport check-in. If you do not need to be at the airport before 3pm we can also include a lunch stop in a typical tearoom or local pub. Depending on the site you choose, the pick up from Dover will normally be between 7. 30am and 8. 30am. We will arrive at your chosen attraction at approximately 10am-10. 30am depending on the location and will leave the site for the airport at around 12. 30pm-1pm. Please contact me to confirm your preferred visit as some of the sites are closed on certain days of the week.
