Hi there! I am Eda. I would like to guide you here in this unique place to make your vacation u forgetable. Let me introduce myself; I came to Cappadocia to study for becoming a tour guide in 2003. Studying for 4 years, I have graduated from Erciyes University in 2007 and since then I have been guiding here in Cappadocia. So I am a professional Tour Guide licenced by Ministry of Turkish Culture and Tourism. Besides this, after graduation I worked as a tour operator in an incoming agency; for all these times preparing tailor-made itineraries. Cappadocia is in the middle of Anatolia. It is a magical place formed by volcanoes and full of history of different civilizations. I like to take people who are interested in culture for the tours in this fairyland. If you are interested in culture, history and looking for a chance to get closer with nature and escaping from the big city life, I will be happy to help you! Love my Job; guiding for couples, group of friends and families also as a mom of three kids (i know how is it traveling with kids so ;) I can be flexible during the tour for the families with kids. *As a tour guide, I am not permitted to arrange the tours on my own, so the tours and and the official papers will be arranged through a travel agency. *I am not a driver. Hiking in Ihlara Valley- a gorge in Cappadocia
Overview of your Cappadocia tour
If you want to explore further away or enjoy the hiking by the water and trees around in addition to historical spots I highly recommend this tour to you. Driving through the countryside we have the chance to see the second biggest volcano Mt. Hasan with its breathtaking view. It is going to be an extraordinary day for you to explore Cappadocia down from the bottom and also breath the historical air in the canyon while trying to imagine the people in the old times used to live around. The canyon reminds me the Western Movies and feels like you can see the cowboys anytime. I love this tour because in the end of the day you can have a look at the photos of yours that I have taken for you and notice how much we have done in a day, back in the hotel with the joy of discovering south of Cappadocia.
Your Cappadocia tour itinerary
-We meet you at your hotel reception and start the tour with Derinkuyu Underground City (which is a UNESCO site and also the deepest underground city of the area) getting down deep through the narrow tunnels we discover the rooms first carved by Hittites. -We drive further and on the way to Ihlara Valley, we stop to take the picture of Nar Lake which seems beautiful at any time of the year. -We arrive at Ihlara Valley which is more like a gorge formed by the eruption of the volcano (Mt. Hasan) just beside it. -We start the hiking as we get to the bottom of the valley seeing the Agacalti church on our path. It is a nice walk just by the river for around 4 km. -Then we arrive at our restaurant in Belisirma village. -After lunch, we drive back and the final stop will be the Pigeon Valley (+ an optional visit to the Onyx workshop). -Dropping you to your hotel. -This is a suggested itinerary, let me know what you would like to see and do and I will customize the tour accordingly.
