Merhaba my name is Hasan, I am a Cappadocian Local Guide. I was born 37 years ago one of Cappadocia Caves. I spend my chilhood and grew up in Cappadocia. I spent sometimes of my life different cities of Turkey for studying or military service. But currently, I am living and giving guiding service in Cappadocia. I studied tourism high school in Cappadocia. After high school, I went to Kusadasi for college. I studied tourist guiding and travel management in the college. After bachelor degree, I got my tourist guiding licence in 2008. After my college gratuation, I turned back my homeland to give tourist guiding service to my dearest guests in Cappadocia. One of the main reason to turn back my homeland to do guiding, I love meeting people from different cultures and sharing my home with them. Cappadocia has so much to offer and so much of it is hidden. I love bringing it to life for my guests. I love to tell the story behind the story. Anyone can see the caves and get a general idea of history, but what were the people's lives like and how does that mesh with our personal life today? I am also a well-travelled person all around Turkey that has always enjoyed experiencing new exciting destinations, their history and local traditions. Overview of your Cappadocia tour
Derinkuyu is located in Cappadocia. Derinkuyu is notable for its large multi-level underground city , which is a major tourist attraction. Nigde is lying on a plateau embellished by volcanic peaks is this city of the Central Anatolian Region which was called "Nahita" during the Hittite period. Since its founding, it has been a commercial center, standing on the ancient trade route between Anatolia and the Mediterranean. Much later, the land was taken over by the Seljuks, who filled the city with many works, representing the exquisite Seljuk artistic and architectural styles. Besides the city, the towns of the province of Nigde also contain many remarkable ruins from these early periods. Gumusler is another place of historical importance, 9 km along the Nigde-Kayseri road. A Byzantine monastery is still standing, dating back to the 10th and 11th centuries. High columns and walls covered with frescoes are featured in the rock monastery and these well-preserved buildings are appropriate sites for sightseers.
Your Cappadocia tour itinerary
-Tour starts at 09:00. -We will go to Derinkuyu Underground City. This is the biggest underground city in Cappadocia. -After the underground city, we will have lunch in Konakli Village. -After lunch, we will see Greek Church. -After that, we will go to Gumusler Monastery, one of the well-preserved Christian monasteries in Cappadocia. You will see the unique fresco of Smiling Virgin Marry. -After Gumusler Monastery, we will go to Nigde Castle, which was built in late Hittite Period around 8'th century B. C. We will see Seljuk Style Alaaddin Mosque. -After the castle, we will see Ak Madrasah, which was used as an Islamic School during 14'th century A. D. Currently this place is used as an Archeology Museum. We will see Seljuk Style Hudavent Hatun Memorial Tomb.
