Merhaba my name is Hasan, I am a Cappadocian Local Guide. I was born 37 years ago one of Cappadocia Caves. I spend my chilhood and grew up in Cappadocia. I spent sometimes of my life different cities of Turkey for studying or military service. But currently, I am living and giving guiding service in Cappadocia. I studied tourism high school in Cappadocia. After high school, I went to Kusadasi for college. I studied tourist guiding and travel management in the college. After bachelor degree, I got my tourist guiding licence in 2008. After my college gratuation, I turned back my homeland to give tourist guiding service to my dearest guests in Cappadocia. One of the main reason to turn back my homeland to do guiding, I love meeting people from different cultures and sharing my home with them. Cappadocia has so much to offer and so much of it is hidden. I love bringing it to life for my guests. I love to tell the story behind the story. Anyone can see the caves and get a general idea of history, but what were the people's lives like and how does that mesh with our personal life today? I am also a well-travelled person all around Turkey that has always enjoyed experiencing new exciting destinations, their history and local traditions. Overview of your Cappadocia tour
Mustafapasa quaint village in the heart of Cappadocia was previously called Sinasos which means the "The City of the Sun" The typical village of Mustafapaşa (Sinasos), where traditional stone houses with carved and decorated facades evoke a former age. Soğanlı Valley, 50 km south of Ürgüp, is picturesque with its innumerable chapels, churches, halls, houses and tombs. The frescoes, from the 8th to the 13thcenturies, trace the development of Byzantine painting. Soganli is located at the Kayseri gateway of Cappadocia, is famous for its hand-made dolls, historical Soganli Valley and Churches. Back on the main road you find the village of is Şahinefendi where 4'th-5'th Century Roman Mosaics and Roman Ancient City is located. The next village Taşkınpaşa where the 14th -century Karamanid Mosque and Mausoleum Complex, and the remains of a medrese portal on the edge of town make for a pleasant diversion.
Your Cappadocia tour itinerary
-Starting from your hotel at 09:30, we will drive Derinkuyu Underground City. We will see one of the underground cities and caves of Cappadocia. -We drive to Mustafapasa, famous for its beautiful architecture; Mustafapasa was one of the largest Greek towns in Cappadocia until the 1924 population Exchange between Turkey and Greece. -From there, we continue to Soganlı Valley. Soganlı was once the third largest monastic center in the area and hosts many cave churches and a beautiful hiking valley. -Before starting to hike in Soganlı Valley we got our lunch. -After lunch, we will drive to the Sobessos Excavation site. Archeologists have recently (in the last 10 years) begun excavations of this area. -We will go to Taskınpasa. We will see Taskınpasa Madrasah (Islamic School). -Around 17:00 we will turn back hotel. -Feel free to contact me if you would like to customize this tour!
