South Cappadocia Full-day Tour

Wonderful day with Zeki! He is incredibly thoughtful and knowledgeable about Cappadocia and all things religious and historical. He is kind, considerate and upbeat.

Our second great day with Hakan and we visited many of the wonderful Cappadocia sights outside the city center. The Kesklik Monastery was amazing with its history and frescos, the mountain valley with the Hidden Church was breathtaking especially on such a beautiful fall day. Hakan is one of the best guides in the Cappadocia region and we were so lucky to have spent two special days with him. At the end of our time, we can say we made a close friend.

Excellent tour. We had very specific requests for our tour and they were all met; and then we even saw more than we hoped.

Zeki was a fun guide for our family. Quick-witted, knowledgeable and with a good sense of humor, he made it fun for all especially our boys. He was flexible as we designed custom itineraries for two days and accommodated our schedules both beginning and end of day. He also had one great restaurant recommendation for us in Avanos (sorry don't remember the name). Seamless coordination with the driver too, which is necessary in this region. Overall would highly recommend. Maybe not if doing aggressive hiking/camping - he told us that's not his thing.

We spent two days touring. It was amazing to see the sights, the topography, the caves, the valleys, the castles, and learning about the history of Cappadocia. I have so many good things to say about our tour guide Zeki. He was incredibly knowledgeable, very flexible with planning, and above all, kind. I have some physical limitations and Zeki planned things in a way that I could participate to the extent possible. In many ways this was a life changing trip. Understanding the history of the area, the caves, the underground system, was inspiring. He took us to a family owned pottery place. There was absolutely no pressure to purchase anything, and they did a demonstration, which was fun. We also went to a rug place, which was wonderful and also there was no pressure to get anything. But they had a beautiful selection of rugs.

The guide was very professional and knowledgeable. He provided the a lot of pertinent information and was receptive to questions. He also arranged transportation for our group of 12 persons to and from the the airport at a fair price. I would recommend him to other travellers.
