Hello - my name is Jessica and welcome to Sweden - Välkommen! I am so happy you have chosen to travel to Sweden and visit Stockholm - my home city where I have lived half of my life. I will be travelling in Europe this winter and will be back mid-June 2026 and look forward to showing you Stockholm then. Whether you are here for a long visit or just for short while - I would love to show you my home town and introduce you to our Swedish culture and traditions whilst showing you some unique parts of Stockholm and its surroundings, places that are off the beaten track as well as all the "must sees"! I would like to offer you a very Swedish experience. If, before your trip, you would like to get an in depth knowledge of Swedish Culture and Stockholm I have published a book about Stockholm introducing foreigners, expats and diplomats to 'the Swedish way of life' - you will find it on Amazon under the title "Stockholm, Sweden - At Your Fingertips". I also had the honour of guiding Rick Steves in Stockholm in 2023 as he needed to update his book after the pandemic. As a daughter of a Swedish diplomat I have lived abroad half of my life - in Belgium, Kenya, Israel, Greece etc. and what a fantastic world this is! Now I would like to share with you "my world" here in Sweden. I would love to show you the sights and sounds of Stockholm. Experience the old and new City. If you have already been here before, why not let me show you the tranquil suburb of Lidingö - away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Maybe a hike through one of our nature reserves, visit a farm from the 18th century and for the hardy, maybe a dip in the lake. Are there other places you would like to visit or just a tailor-made shopping tour in the city of Stockholm? No problem, just let me know. When I am not out guiding or with my family, I work with expats, newcomers and diplomats introducing them to our Swedish culture, ways and traditions - helping them feel at home here in Sweden. I would like to show you Sweden at its best, so you can get the most out of your visit here in Stockholm. Join me for a very Swedish experience! I look forward to welcoming you to Stockholm and its surroundings! Experience the Best of Stockholm with this 'All-In-One Tour' We’ll start our adventure wandering through the charming, cobbled alleyways of Gamla Stan, Stockholm’s medieval old town. From there, we’ll hop on a scenic 30-minute ferry ride out into the archipelago, where we can enjoy a refreshing break by the sea—preferably outdoors if the weather is warm and sunny. Continuing our journey, we’ll take a bus through the lush, green Royal hunting grounds of Djurgården, making a special stop at the renowned Vasa Museum. Here, you’ll uncover the fascinating story of one of Sweden’s greatest naval disasters and see the historic warship up close. I hope you will join me on this “All-in-One Tour of Stockholm”—a perfect way for me to show you my hometown! If your visit is longer, I’d be happy to provide maps, personal recommendations for excellent restaurants, other must-see attractions, and tips to make your stay even more memorable. You’ll be all set to explore at your own pace!
Our journey begins at a centrally located meeting point where we’ll kick off our exploration of Stockholm’s rich heritage. Together, we’ll stroll through the enchanting cobbled streets of Gamla Stan, the city’s medieval old town with the Royal Palace, the Nobel Museum, and Cathedral and soak in the timeless ambiance, uncovering stories about the city. After immersing yourselves in the historic atmosphere, we’ll board a ferry and sail out in the archipelago to Blockhusudden. Here, indulge in a classic Swedish fika—a traditional coffee and pastry—or why not a hearty Herring Sandwich. For art lovers, a visit to the Thielska Gallery offers a glimpse into Scandinavian art in a peaceful, nature-rich setting rarely bustling with tourists. Next, we’ll take a short bus ride to the Vasa Museum. It's a fascinating tale that truly comes alive once you have seen this historic vessel. You may choose to explore other museums on Djurgården Island or continue back into the city with me, where we end our tour.

Mostly walking and local transportation by bus, tram and ferry. You can pay for local transportation with a credit card each and costs approximately $4/person/trip. Please be aware that there are plenty of cobbled stoned streets, these can be uneven and sometimes a bit difficult to walk on, so wear comfortable shoes!
Stockholm, Stockholm County, Sweden
Airport: ,Cruise: ,ByGuide: If you are arriving onboard a cruise ship, please check which port it is docking at. There are two centrally located ports in Stockholm; FRIHAMNEN and STADSGARDEN. I can meet you at the port but to save time you might like to make your way in to the city and we can meet up centrally at the Opera on Gustav Adolfs square - to be decided. If you dock at the port of NYNASHAMN it is more than an hours drive (36 miles/58 km) south of Stockholm and is not a meeting point.
