Hola, welcome to Madrid! My name is Mariluz and I am a fully licensed professional guide of Madrid, Toledo, Avila and Segovia. I am graduated in Tourism (University of Zaragoza) and an expert of Spanish History and Art. I am also graduated in Economics (University of Zaragoza) and in Foreign Languages at the University of Poitiers, France. After some years travelling within Europe guiding groups from Spain and America, I decided to become Local Guide of Madrid, the city that adopted me more than 26 years ago! I love Madrid. I have provided tours to so many different people! . . some of them even famous actors from Hollywood, like Morgan Freeman, Robert Downey Jr or Patrick Stewart. Toledo old town was declared by Unesco a " World Heritage Site" in 1986. And this was due to the great importance of the city in the old times and the many monuments that have been preserved from different periods . The whole old town is like an open air museum. If there is a city that sums up our country's history, that one is Toledo. I love History and my goal in this tour is to share it with you in a way that would make it memorable and entertaining at the same time. Each of you are different, therefore the ability to tailor the visit to your interests will by my priority. We will travel together throught the time and will visit the highlights of this fascinating city. We will follow the traces of Muslims, Jewish and of course, Christians. Without forgetting "El Greco" , the painter who immortalized the city with his paintings. Join me in this unforgettable experience: you wont regret it. Thank you Mariluz for a great day in Toledo!! At our pace and tailored to our interests. Mariluz explained to us all the history at the beginning and we could enjoy our visit. This was our second visit (first time in a group tour) and first time for our children, what a difference!! The kids enjoyed the Tirolina at the end. Thank you Mariluz!!

We had Mariluz for half a day to tour Toledo. She is very knowledgeable not only on the history and live in Toledo itself. She is very patient and nice; very flexible to adjust the plan according to our needs and interest. We had a great time in Toledo and I gave all credit to Mariluz. She also gave us so many useful tips on traveling Spain. She even went out of the way to help me with many issues i.e. luggage storage, transportations etc. (and that on her day off!!) We are very grateful to know Mariluz.
Meeting point: Toledo train station. (You will find me with your name ) or at your hotel in Toledo. -Panoramic tour by local taxi. (great views of the old town). -Photo stop at Belvedere or Mirador. Start of our walking tour by the Jewish sector: -San Juan de los Reyes Monastery. (passing by) -The former Synagogue of Santa Maria La Blanca: (getting inside) -The former Synagogue of The Transito (inside) - The Church of Santo Tome (getting inside to see the most famous painting of El Greco: The Burial of the lord of Orgaz. - The Cathedral. (30' aprox inside inside visiting its numerous highlights). Possibility of visiting a little handicraft store where to see some artisan making the famous "Damascene artwork". Pictures allowed. -Zocodover square. End of the tour. The itinerary can be adapted to traveller's interests: do not hesitate to contact me for a customized tour.
