For a graduate of Tourism with a degree in Art History, there is surely no better place to establish a career as a Tour Guide than in the marvelous city of Toledo. My vast work experience has taken me through the diverse sectors of the world of tourism and art (travel agencies, transfer escort, exhibit coordinator at Madrid's Reina Sofia Museum and accompanying group guide throughout Central Europe for twelve years). Experiences that have contributed to my cultural and professional development and that today add to my richness as an Official Tour Guide of Toledo, licensed by the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha. I have been working as a guide continuously since 2007 and hope to continue for many more to come. My objective has always been, and will always be, to transmit the flavors, experiences and sensations that are awoken by one of the most enchanting cities in Spain. - Degree in Art History. - Graduate of Tourism. - Official Licensed City Tour Guide. Granted by the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha. - 2016 and 2017 Global Awards (shortlisted) by Luxury Travel Guide.

Walking further into the City of Tolerance, or the Three Cultures, we will visit a monument characteristic of each of these cultures and discover the impact each has left on Toledo. We will walk through the city centre to discover: - The Mosque of Cristo de la Luz. This is the only mosque still standing, of the many that existed in Toledo under Muslim rule. - The Synagogue of El Tránsito, an example of Jewish power in medieval Toledo and a representation of the characteristic Mudejar style. - The Cathedral of Toledo. There is no other monument in Toledo that better represents the power of the Catholic Church and its expression through art than this marvellous Primate Cathedral. -------------OR------------ - The former Church of San Román, the best example of mudéjar style in the city. Duration: The walking tour will last around 3 hours - 3 hours and a half.
If you are coming by train from Madrid (20 euros go and return) I will be waiting for you at the Toledo Train Station, or at the Bisagra Gate if coming by private car. If by train, we could make a panoramic tour with a taxi to get to the city centre and enjoy the wonderful panoramic view from the other side of the Tagus river (11 euros per taxi. 4 people per taxi). Or, we could get to the old town by walking in a beautiful 15 minutes walk. We will cross the entire old town during the tour paying visit to the monuments included in the itinerary (tickets not included in the price). Even though the walking tour has a common thread I will make alussion to every simple and important aspect of the city: handycrafts, cultural heritage, evolution of the old town, festivities, etc.
