Hi there! This is Rachel, I'm an officially licensed tour guide who works in Toledo, my hometown. I am not a blame taker. I was lucky to be born and raised in this. . . how to name it. . . " soul shaping training center". Yes, my friends, all through millennia, thousands of souls from different cultures, from Romans to Saracens to romantic poets, inhabited this rocky hill searching, how innocent, for a place to live a pleasant life without realizing such a place was the ideal scenery in the experience of tempering their souls and, for that reason, so beloved. Since I was a lovely callow teenager my life's been involved in the tourist market. I started working in a local craft factory and shop in Toledo when I was only 17 where I spent my funniest summertime hours being in contact with groups of tourists that would come from every corner of the world, tour managers, and local guides. It was then that I decided to become a guide. I moved to Madrid and majored in tourism, and afterward, I wandered the world for a few years searching for. . . who knows what. I didn't feel confident then to work as a guide, so I quit walking that road. After spending part of my youth working in jobs related to the tourism industry but not my cup of tea, the river of life brought me back to this shore again. So here I am enjoying the chance to showcase this world heritage site to the many visitors that hire my services and I am willing to do it for many more years of improvement since tourism is an evolving phenomenon that needs some adaptation to changes and new currents. The experience that a visitor to Toledo might be looking for needs, among many other ingredients, interaction with locals from my point of view, so I understand that the job of a guide is to serve as a bridge between you and the inhabitants of the city or town visited and providing a personal and cultivated interpretation of the heritage and history in case of touring a cultural vacation spot. All of that I can provide, and much more. . . as an expert, let me lead you to unique sites and places and memorable moments that you will treasure for a lifetime and will help you forge your soul in any way. Let me finally suggest what I think is the best way to get to know this destination. The city of Toledo should be walked at least twice. Once as a first approach and a second time to delve into the area of your interest. I am willing to welcome you here and am open to listening to your needs in case you want to customize a tailor-made experience. *I am an officially licensed guide by the regional government of Aragón autonomous community and officially licensed to guide inside the major monuments of Toledo, the ones run by Toledo's archbishopric. *I hold a degree in Tourism issued by the URJC (King Juan Carlos University) and I am currently majoring in journalism at the same institution, my alma mater, this study I balance with my work. At the moment I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

Together we'll explore one of the most beautiful landscapes in the La Mancha region, the land of Don Quixote, the best-known Spaniard nobleman worldwide ever. Up to twelve windmills that emerge at the top of Calderico Hill give shape to the skyline of this iconic image. At first glance, this arid land might seem barren to you, It has taken me some time to realize the wealth of this part of my homeland, but at closer sight, you'll see it is full of life. Vineyards, saffron plantations, olive trees, and cereals color the soil in a beautiful palette of purples, greens, and yellows. Sitting in the shade and letting you go, one can feel the adventure animus during those unprofitable nap hours that led Cervantes to write his arch-famous novel. After visiting one of the mills, we'll head to the 10th-century fortress of La Muela Castle in an unforgettable walk. Back in the town center, we'll step into a tavern to taste the local wine and some manchego cheese.
- Myself and the chauffeur will meet you at the arranged point (such as your hotel/ accommodation) and we will drive to Consuegra: it is about 1h by car. - We will stop at the mills and take a nice walk to visit one of them, as well as La Muela Castle. There will be free time for pictures. - Then we will ride back to the town center for a cheese and wine tasting. - We will walk through the main streets of the village, commenting on its history. - Lastly we ride back to Toledo.
