Cruise into Bilbao: Top Attractions

Flora Paradiso was an excellent guide for our most enjoyable tour of this lovely developing city. Flora was both extremely informative and very knowledgable of Bilbo’s history, anrchitectural influences and the Basque culture. She managed to keep the time we spent with her in such a relaxed way that we so enjoyed visiting various points of interest ,tasting some of the local pintxos. Flora was the perfect tour guide for us! She was very knowledgeable of the area and truly emersed us in the local culture. We were not sure what to expect from Bilbao, but after Flora's tour, we feel like we should come back to visit the area again. Bilbao is a mix of historic architecture and modern urban design. You can feel the benefits of it being a walkable community, particularly when our guide stopped to give hugs to different people she knew as we toured around the city. Where we are from in Canada, our city has a focus on cars and rushing from one place to another. In Bilbao, Flora showed us what it is like to slow down and enjoy the people, the food, and the environment that surrounds us. Flora also introduced us to the best cheesecake we have ever tasted! Flora was the perfect charming guide to lead us through this beautiful city! We walked 6.1 miles with her throughout the day and loved every minute of it!

We had a WONDERFUL tour with Flora of Bilbao. It was so interesting to hear all about the history of the city and surrounding region. We had a chance to tour the Guggenheim with her and she was able to walk thru with us and gave us so much information about the exhibits. We wouldn’t have gotten near as much out of the museum if she hadn’t been there with us. She drove the four of us around the city and we saw so much more of the area than trying to do this on our own. The personal service she provided was outstanding. We would HIGHLY recommend Flora to anyone who is visiting Bilbao and would like to learn as much as possible about the city. Thank you Flora, for a job well done!!

Flora was an outstanding guide. Seeing the Guggenheim would not have been the same without her. She is extremely knowledgeable of the history of the museum as well as the paintings. She was excellent in helping me get thru the tour considering my disability in having limited walking ability. Her knowledge of the city and its history was informative and interesting.
