Hello everyone! :-) My name is Eva González and I was born in The Basque Country, a place that I love!! I studied Tourism and Biology in the Basque Country, but I also studied in the USA, Finland, Sweden, Germany and France. I love and enjoy working with people so much, that as a guide I am lucky to be able to share my knowledge with people that come to visit Bilbao or San Sebastian. For me, it is always a great experience to share my passion and love for my hometown!! I am very passionate when I work. I always give my best and make people feel at home. I offer several tours in Bilbao, the coast and in San Sebastian. I am a big fan of history, architecture and gastronomy and I would love to meet you in one of my tours. I hope to see you soon! Eva Certifications: In the media galery you can see in the final picture my guide accreditation for the Basque Country in English, German and French. I have a degree in Tourism from the University of Deusto in Bilbao and a degree in Biology. I have been an Erasmus student in Finland and I have done a postgraduate course in European Tourism Management in Sweden and Germany. I was also responsible for supervising activities for spanish teenage students in Washington DC, USA. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask!!

My main passions include nature, art and, in a very special place, gastronomy. Among my friends, I've always been the one who invited everyone to dinner. I just love to cook and gather around a table with friends, and. . . let me tell you: The Basque Country is a place where we have so much fresh produts: Fresh fish, fresh meat, fresh vegetables all year round!!! :-) Maybe this is the reason why the Basque Country has 33 Michelin stars in our restaurants. YES!!! The Basque Country has the highest concentration of Michelin stars per capita in the world! And. . . what about the "pintxos"? A pintxo is a miniature dish, but. . . not only that!! it is also a living philosophy, an essential part of our culture and tradition. We have cooking schools that teach us how to create new innovative pintxos and we hold context every year to award the best places to enjoy them. Do you want to be part of our culture and visit some of these places and try some of these pintxos while we visit the old town?
During this tour we will discover three of the most awarded pintxos bars in the old town and taste 6 different miniature dishes. Along the way we will visit the most important corners, squares, monuments and buildings of the old town. Bilbao has over 700 years of history!!! and it's old town "Las Siete Calles" as we call it, is a very lively and colorful part of the city. We will also be in "La Plaza Nueva", its main square, the typical Spanish porticoed square where we "the Bilbaínos" like to meet. Are you ready to walk through the vibrant old town of Bilbao and taste some of its traditional "pintxos"? ;-)
