I have visited over 70 countries and guided travellers, friends and family for long time. Even if I was born in San Sebastian, Bilbao is my second home, as both cities are part of the same Basque culture and that I represent proudly! This tour will give you the real perspective of the city and the Guggenheim museum. Going with me on a tour you will learn lots about both, but not only that, I will make you feel part of the community, the local life! In this guided tour will be visiting the most historical and representative points of the Historic Centre of Bilbao and the modern & contemporary art in Guggenheim. Beside the main sites, I'll take you to the hidden parts where the real life of locals take place in daily bases. Along with a dose of history, art and sightseeing, we could make a stop for pintxos-tastings if you are foodies and like to try local food. Never heard of a pintxo? You'll be trying to re-create this Basque speciality at home after trying it!
Your Bilbao tour itinerary
-Pick up at the pier in Bilbao, drive to the city, just 20 minutes. -Bilbao city tour, partially walking and with private transport to get to see more in the journey. Around 2 hours. -Guggenheim museum. Around 1. 5-2 hours, less if you wish. Time for pintxos-tapas -Return to the cruise ship. 20 minutes driving.
