I was born in San Sebastian, Basque Country, I'm a person who loves travelling and sharing my experiences with people. I have visited over 70 countries and guided travellers, friends and family for long time. After travelling around the world in my last big trip, during 14 months, I'm even more prepared to guide you along the Basque Country and surroundings. I am a private local Basque guide and have a long experience guiding people along the Basque Country, over 15 years, in areas specially around San Sebastian, Bilbao, Pamplona, Vitoria as well as the French-Basque Country and the famous Rioja Wine region. As well as I travel abroad often, I love to work showing my city and surroundings, guiding people to the best places, not only to the touristic ones, but to the off-the-track ones too. Always adding some of my little stories and anecdotes of each place making the journey more enjoyable and unique. Living in a place with a food-culture like us, it adds an extra value to my tours, being a member of a Gastronomy Club(famous sociedad gastronómica) in San Sebastian as I am. I have 14 year experience on Food & Wine tours and I am member of men's gastronomy-cooking club since 2007: I am passionate about local flavours and I will convey it to you! I like this tour because it gives you a real idea of Rioja Wine region in just 1 day and in a relax enjoyable pace. What traveller like most about it is the fact that the tour combines not only wine tastings, but admiring de modernity of "Marques del Riscal" winery (made by Frank Gehry, architect of the Guggenheim museum), visiting the oldest wine cellar-cave in town from XIVth century, discovering the culture walking along the medieval streets of Laguardia, tasting the best wines from completely different wine makers vineyards: up to 8-9 different wines per person from different wineries!
