Kaixo! I am Joseba a young euskaldun (Basque speaking person, wrongly translated in to Basque) born and raised in Bilbao. I am an official tour guide in the Basque region and my aim is to get you close to our beautiful land and culture. My career began as an environmental technician, which gave me a great knowledge about our superb nature. But 7 years ago, I decide to move to Berlin and there I found a job that fits in with my skills and preferences: guiding people on their journeys. Since then, I've lived in four countries and guided hundreds of travellers in different parts of the world, until I decide to come back to my beloved Bilbao, three years ago. As a guide, I am a really proactive, serious and passionate one. I am all the time trying to improve my skills and knowledge, always curious about history, folklore and cultural aspects of societies. All my tours can be given in the five languages I speak: Basque, Spanish, English, German and Italian. With all this experience I want to invite you to discover the Basque Country from close, getting in touch with the local people, their tradition and culture, as the surrounding enchanted nature. ONGI ETORRI! -Degree in Environmental Science in 2008. -Professional guide in the Basque Country, running my own responsible tourism company with all the permissions and insurances. -Experience as a guide in different countries: four years as a bike tour guide in Berlin and three years as a walking and bike guide in the Basque Country. -Certified titles for several languages: Advanced Certified in English by Cambridge University (C1), B2 in Deustch bei Goethe Institut and E.G.A. (basque language's highest degree). Not allowed to drive with more than 8 people. If you are a larger group, let me know and a bigger vehicle with driver would be arranged.

Yes, I know, we, the Basques, are famous to be a little bit sumptuous and exaggerated. But trust me there's a plan for everyone in Bilbao, even the best grill-restaurant in the world is just 40 km away from the city centre!
We thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour of Bilbao with Joseba! He is a wonderful, informative guide. He was not only very knowledgeable about the history of the city but he also gave us a very comprehensive tour of the Guggenheim. I would highly recommend him.
Joseba picked us up right at the cruise port and gave us an amazing tour of Bilbao in our allotted time. Joseba was very personable and was willing to customize our tour with all the things we wanted to see. We started in the old fishermen's port of Getxo, then went to the cliffs in Azkorri. Then we went to the city to see the beautiful sights and to enjoy delicious tapas and wine. We are so grateful for Joseba and his knowledge of his city. The transportation he provided was comfortable and he was timely. If we come back to Spain, Joseba would be the first person we would call.
Wonderful tour of Bilbao with Joseba. We had a fabulous day seeing and learning g about the development of the city. Joseba drove us around the city stopping at wonderful places for coffee and lunch. His tour of the Gugenhelm museum was wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed learning about how the city had changed over the last 30 years. I would have no hesitation in recommending Joseba to family and friends visiting Bilboa as he is a fabulous guide.
We had a great day with Joseba! He was a fabulous tour guide and showed us so many gems in Bilbao. He drove us around his city, introduced us to delicious pinxtos, and led a fabulous tour through the Guggenheim. I would highly recommend booking with him!
Our guide was very knowledgeable, and he provided a great tour. We highly recommend him. Unfortunately, the guggenheim was closed the day we were there but all the sites in the city he showed us were awesome. He has great charisma and made our tour excellent.
