Hello, I am Daniel, and I am a Tourist Guide in Cape Town. ALL my advertised tours are very flexible, and can be tailor-made to your specific interests and needs. When Sir Francis Drake became the first person to sail around the world between 1577 and 1580, he was so impressed with the Cape Peninsula and Table Mountain that he stated in his log "The fairest Cape, the most stately thing we saw in the whole circumference of the globe. " Any visitors to Cape Town have to visit Table Mountain, one of the 7 Wonders of the World. If you are in Cape Town for longer than a day, it is almost compulsory to drive around the Peninsula to the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point for spectacular views. Our biggest export product is our wines, and a tour of the Winelands with inclusive wine tasting is another great tour. If you are also visiting the rest of South Africa, I also offer one way Garden Route tours where you can link up with Johannesburg from Port Elizabeth Airport. I am a fully qualified, licensed and registered tourist guide for the Western Cape and have a Professional Driving Permit. I am also a member of the Cape Town Tourist Guide Association. As part of my license requirements, I hold a valid First Aid certificate and have also completed a Wine Course. You will be travelling in a safe, air-conditioned car to ensure comfort and safety. When we are more than four people, I rent a larger vehicle from a reputable company. I do not take commission from any person or establishment and therefore I am able to take you anywhere you desire to visit or to places where the actual experience has proved to be of the very best value for your money - not to places where I can make a 'quick buck' on the side! We go outside of Cape Town to explore the beautiful towns of Stellenbosch and Franschoek, and drive through the most fantastic mountains and vineyards of the Boland. This tour includes wine tasting at three wine estates. Guests can purchase wines directly from the wine farms at estate prices.
Daniel was an excellent guide. He has extensive knowledge of all three wine regions and was very helpful in planning the day. Getting to know him with interesting conversations about his country, its history, the regions and individual vineyards made the day even better. Highly recommend him for your tour of wine country around Cape Town.
Our group of 10 booked the Full Day Wine Tour with Daniel - it was great! Daniel was on time, knowledgeable, and enjoyable. We tweaked our plan mid-trip without any hesitation from Daniel. Would highly recommend. Daniel is an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and accommodating. Visiting CHEETAH outreach was my top priority(I booked the special engagement option) and he willingly substituted it for a winery stop. We still visited two vineyards for tastings, had a great lunch and toured Stellenbosch and Franschhoek as well. A terrific day. Would recommend following Daniel's suggestions—he knows his wines!

On this popular tour we will drive through Stellenbosch and I will show you the university and you will feel the special atmosphere that South Africa's second oldest town is famous for. We will visit "Oom Samie se Winkel", an old General Store that is kept just like it used to be 100 years ago. We then drive over Helshoogte pass towards Franschoek. In Franschoek we will visit the Huguenot Memomorial and just experience the special little town that is really trying to maintain their French traditions. We visit three wine estate for wine tasting and then return to cape Town.
